He's in the bonus features on The Muppets blu-ray quite a bit, in the behind-the-scenes documentary and in the "screen test on the way to the walk-through". It is kind of ironic... Pepe seems to have been all over the promotion for the movie despite only having one big scene, and yet Rizzo seems...
That's what I was thinking, too.
And now we've got the Kermit's Party viral videos, which are great (even if they are really extended Bounty commercials). They're much better than The Muppets Kitchen and From the Balcony. And we got three in the first day (I know, four episodes of The Muppets...
I wonder how this'll be released (theatrically? Limited run? TV broadcast? Direct-to-video?).
Lots of cool stuff in that trailer. A few things from Follow That Bird, which I can't tell if they're clips from the movie, or behind-the-scenes/b-roll/home movie footage. And a behind-the-scenes clip...
I really hope that one of the main performers gets interviewed for one of the big Muppet websites soon, so we can see one of them give some insight on the film.
I noticed that they only rebuilt six of the five babies from Bobby Benson's Baby Band, and had most of them wear bonnets. I guess...
Actually, the Muppets did get more exposure beyond once-a-year specials between 1984 and 1989. There's a number of guest appearances, PSAs, and a handful of direct-to-video series (the Playhouse Video releases, the Play-Along Videos, and the rare Interactivision releases... I feel I shouldn't...
My favorite online videos series are The Angry Video Game Nerd, The Nostalgia Critic, Venus Spa, and Two Hot Girls in the Shower. I also like the Smosh "if (insert something here) were real" videos. I also like Homestar Runner and Fred, but I haven't watched either too much in years.
In...
I wonder what else they did on the show. I know that all/most of the celebrities from the montages appeared after making seperate appearances on the show (I often wonder if there was another Simpsons appearance besides Monster in the Mirror, but either way they'd have to be animated as opposed...
Noticed that in The Muppets, Kermit wears his black tuxedo quite a bit in the introductions. Sort of like in the first season when he'd often wear his purple tux during guest star introductions and the goodnights, though here he wears it in almost every introduction, going back-and-fourth...
Tonight I watched the DVD, and it seems the DVD skips the menu and goes straight to the movie, and after the movie's over we see a menu for a few seconds and then the blooper reel automatically starts. Then there's a promo for Disney blu-ray, but I didn't watch the whole thing (so I don't know...
1. Ernest Goes to Jail
2. Ernest Saves Christmas
3. Ernest Goes to School
4. Ernest Goes to Camp
5. Slam Dunk Ernest
6. Ernest Scared Stupid
7. Ernest Rides Again
8. Ernest in the Army
9. Ernest Goes to Africa
The last three, I have only seen once each, in the order I listed, but I feel the...
It's interesting that all three have the same opening footage, with different dialogue from Kermit.
I noticed none of Frank Oz/Eric Jacobson's characters are present in these. I'm guessing he wasn't available. It would have been great to have seen The Electric Mayhem playing party music.
This...
I didn't know Lovelady didn't last on The Great Space Coaster, though I never saw that show (I assumed he was on for the whole run). But I doubt it was him, since he did continue with Henson throughout the 1970s.
I think he might have been referring to Daniel Segren. It's known that he did...
I'm going to give my thoughts on all of the deleted scenes on the blu-ray, and provide a rating system, with five stars being the best.
Walter's Extended Nightmare - four stars
I'm unsure as to whether I'd prefer the full scene to be in the movie. It would have given us more Muppet content...
Celebrities appear in the deleted scenes "A Hero in Hollywood", "The Strip Mall Awards", and "Muppets in Jail". Lady Gaga doesn't appear in any of the included deleted scenes. There's some others who also don't appear, unless I missed them (such as Mila Kunis).
I listened to the commentary for the first time today. Since two of the four reviews I've read expressed disapointment over the commentary, I was expecting to be let down though still optimistic. And it turned out to be more on-topic than expected. I prefer commentaries that focus more on...
Okay, here's a listing of what clips I'd have appear in the opening montage:
The Muppets singing "Together Again" (the shot of them entering through doors)
Kermit and Fozzie dancing (from The Muppet Movie)
Statler and Waldorf dancing from "The Varsity Drag"
The Muppets cheering in the screening...
Part 4
Walter: Lets see what everybody's favorite Muppet memories are. Hey, Statler, Waldorf, what are your favorite Muppet moments?
Waldorf: The ones we slept through!
(Statler and Waldorf laughed)
Walter: Uh, moving right along....
Fozzie: Hey! That's a great song!
Walter: I know. Hey...
Part 3
Walter: The Muppets have a large musical library.
Rowlf: That's right, Walter.
Walter: They have performed all kinds of genres...
Rowlf: From classical to jazz...
Walter: From country to rap
Rowlf: From disco to blues.
Walter: And now, here's a sample of the Muppets' musical...
At first I wasn't thrilled with this feature because of it (and I've been pausing scenes a lot). Then I figured out I could turn off the intermission, though even without it on the blu-ray a "chapter selection" icon appears whenever I pause it. Not sure if it's just because I watch blu-ray on my...
