On a Muppet Wiki talk page it was said that Dave Goelz didn't perform the Chef there. That user said it was confirmed by either Goelz or Barretta. And since the Chef was off-screen when he spoke that line, there wouldn't have really been a need for somebody else to perform him there.
I read that the real reason he left the show was because he wanted to marry his girlfriend who lived in California and she didn't want him spending half the year away from her in New York. And I read that the marriage didn't last long, either.
Is it just me, or does the theme heard at the beginning of Gonzo Presents Muppet Weird Stuff (and possibly other compilation videos) sound like the closing theme from the Kaye Ballard episode?
I just remembered something that came to the channel later which I'm not sure whether it counts. It sort of premiered with a marathon, and sort of didn't. But in 1997, The Monkees was added to the line-up as part of Block Party Summers, on mondays as "Monkees Mondays". Interestingly, I don't...
Note that I never said that a pre-Clash Elmo appeared in any of the season 15 episodes, I was merely hoping he'd be in some of those episodes.
In episode 406 there's a cartoon about the number 20 that's shown in english and then suddenly repeated in spanish. I think there's another episode...
What do you mean by "Chevy Chase Mediocre Sitcom tirade"? I don't think he's ever been on a sitcom. But I agree that it seems all original TV Land programming seems to feature former sitcom stars.
Wasn't that the plot of Golden Girls? Though I don't hate Betty White, I find her recent...
I wonder what the first show was to be given its own week-long marathon when it premiered. And I can't remember what the last was, but I think it was The Munsters, which premiered on the channel during the 10th anniversary week in 1995. It is interesting, because I don't recall seeing any promos...
I hope it's one with either Dr. Nobel Price or Don Music. But we'll just have to wait until somebody downloads and reports.
And I wonder which interview with The Three Little Pigs it is. Given the season I'd say either the one with The Count or the straw house.
And here's hoping that Sam the...
I sort of felt that way when Newhart and The Wonder Years were added to teh channel, especially The Wonder Years (it wasn't THAT old back in 1997).
I made a mistake earlier... That TV Land book was called TV Land To Go, not On The Go.
Now that you mention it, it is a wonder more "childrens" channels haven't added "Adult Swim"-style late-night blocks. Though I've never been interested in Invader Zim (it began at a time when I wasn't too interested in new Nickelodeon progamming, though I still watched the channel a lot... And I...
I thought about starting a thread about Nick at Nite and TV Land. Maybe I will start one some day...
Okay, I'll start now. The two channels used to be really great (and to be fair Nick at Nite still has good programming, though I don't watch the channel as much as I used to). When Nick...
Well, the promo and Muppet Weird Stuff are back online. Whether it's a coincidence or if the uploader saw this thread I am happy and hope it stays online longer (and if the person who uploaded it has more of those videos I hope they show up).
Here's the ending to Muppet Weird Stuff followed...
I wonder if Disney or Sesame Workshop put a limit on the amount of characters that could be included. Though almost all the important Muppet Show characters were there, it does seem a little odd that only four Sesame Street Muppets would have.
Whether the Krofts were inspired by drugs or not, I'll believe either answer. Though I wonder if you really need to do drugs to do something that looks like it was on drugs (can't one be inspired by something that was inspired by drugs?). But for years people have joked (if not believed) about...
Keep in mind you could probably say that about many movie franchises. Jaws, Child's Play... Though I haven't actually seen those movies (my judgement is pretty much based on The Nostalgia Critic's reviews of the sequels). I assume you can say that about most horror film franchises. I've heard...
Last night I dreamt I was editing a Muppet Wiki page, but suddenly had to leave the room for a few seconds, staying logged in, and when I came back somebody I knew was suddenly in my room making innappropriate edits to what I was editing.
In the spirit of earth day I've watched a number of environmental-themed things. On sesamestreet.org, I watched such clips as "Bruno and the Trashmen", "On My Pond", "Just Throw It My Way", "Fur Jam: Don't Waste the Water", and "Don't Throw That Trash". On YouTube, I watched most of the National...
