This was good. It would have made for a good celebrity montage song.
Actually, it would have been better if it had a lot more characters. Maybe if it had a large number of Muppets (past and present), the human cast, and various celebrities. Maybe that'd be too big for the budget, but it'd be...
I wonder if the sketch where Ernie cleaned the apartment in 15 seconds was shot the same day as the one where Ernie and Cookie Monster plan to trick Bert by having Ernie ask if a monster plays the flute when a bell rings. In both segments, Bert is wearing a watch, something he doesn't normally...
Very good.
Some thoughts:
Interesting how they were rehearsing the sketch with Simon Soundman coming to Ernie's apartment. I wonder if they remade it or if they were just practicing an existing sketch for the sake of an example. Also interesting that the Simon puppet in this footage has legs...
Just watched episode 2517, with a repeated street plot starring Placido Flamingo and Olivia. It is great, though Placido isn't one of my favorite classic characters.
Interesting that this episode has Lena Horne singing "How Do You Do?", and the title given on iTunes represents that segment...
I wasn't sure if I would download anything from season 25, but I downloaded episode 3137, and it is great. It's the only episode on Sesame Street Classics Volume 2 to have aired on Noggin, and improved the Muppet Wiki page to list all edited segments (though I didn't include images and ekas)...
I just watched episode 1899, and it's fantastic. Muppet Wiki had an incomplete guide to this episode but did list all the segments on that episodes talk page. It has a lot of great '80s characters, including Bruno, Ferlinghetti Donnizetti (performed by Richard Hunt), Forgetful Jones, and Simon...
I wonder if it's more work to give live-hand puppets lower halfs. Probably. But a number of live-hand characters have been seen with legs many times. I don't think Telly looks weird in full body shots, and his legs seem to be shown alot. There's also been many full-body shots of Ernie and The...
I used to assume that all four People in Your Neighborhood segments from the first season were shot on the same day, since they all feature Bob. Only three of those four have surfaced so far, but in addition to Bob being in them all, they all feature the same Anything Muppets (Fat Blue and...
Well I just got done watching episode 123, aka "Here Comes Cookie Monster". With that title I was expecting a little more Cookie Monster (aside from him being in a two-part skit and a four-part skit). It was great for me to finally see that formerly rare segment with Cookie Monster using Ernie's...
For the last year I've had some sort of problem downloading from iTunes, but now it seems to be fixed, so I've downloaded some episodes. I've downloaded "Here Comes Cookie Monster" (haven't watched it yet) and "Grover the Waiter at Your Service". The latter is a great episode.
It may not be...
I can't believe one of the choices was "they found some of them unneccessary to the plot line". You could say that about any of the characters who just show up in the background without lines, in the ending crowd scene and the telelthon opening.
I thought I read a statement from either Bobin...
I've seen him without pants in The Sesame Street Storybook and The Together Book, both early Sesame Street books. And when they do show him in full-body form they rarely make much effort to give him legs. In The Street We Live On his legs aren't very long (and when I first saw it I didn't think...
I feel I recall a scene in the late-1980s/early-1990s where Oscar's full body was shown after jumping out of a trash can as well. There's also an episode from season 30 in which Miles does a video project for school. He decided to have it snow in the video, and after convincing Oscar to appear...
Well, I've finally been able to download some episodes. I've downloaded episodes 597 and 1957 (as well as a few from volume 1), in part because Muppet Wiki doesn't have full guides for those episodes yet. These episodes are enjoyable. I'm epsecially enjoying many of the animation and live-action...
I have a couple of questions about "The Muppets".
First, there is a deleted scene on the blu-ray where the Muppets are shown leaving the stage after the opening is over. It's an impressive scene, with the Muppets going down some stairways by the arches, in one big take. Was this all shot as...
I don't know how I missed this. I'll have to watcht he first episode and see what's been asked. I didn't realsie you performed in The Muppets. I know you were in The Great Muppet Caper, and can't remember if you were in The Muppets Take Manhattan. Should we limit the number of questions we send?
