I saw that ep this morning too. The street story was great and very funny. I mean no offense to Alan Muroka at all, but his performance of Alan has started to get...hammy since Chris came around (who I'll also admit is a ham). But I loved David Hyde Pierce and I was hoping he wasn't the only...
So, I just had my first taste of season 43:
I liked the street story actually. It had a lot of characters in it; I kinda wish Maria had more to do, but whatever. I also expected Cookie to take a bigger bite from the lampost.

Also, one or two people thought the idea of Velvet was ridiculous. I mean, didn't Elmo have Shade, which was like a curtain, almost, sort-of? At least Velvet talks. Door, Drawer and TV don't speak (English anyway) and all Computer had his dated "Elmo has mail!"
Well, the parents argument is that EW is structured, which is apparently what kids of that young age need when watching programming. Also, they like Mr. Noodle or something.
I don't mind Abby's Flying Fairy School being in CGI for this reason - the show's now broken into essentially 4 shows: The street scenes, AFFS, SG/E&B/MHALL, and ETM/EW. They're all different shows with their own style. That's what helps differentiate them and makes them unique.
Stephanie D'Abruzzo's website says that they're currently filming season 44 and half of season 43. This may explain why we have to wait until Feb. to see the rest of the season. The episodes we're seeing were filmed during season 42 and the ones we'll see in Feb haven't been filmed yet and are...
