It's great to see so many classic commercials online, and I especially like the various YouTube compilations of commercials from certain eras. But there are also many commercials I'd like to see again that I can't find on YouTube.
And now, all of a sudden, I can't remember what I wanted to...
I don't know if the user who posted this thread was aware of that thread (though it has come back recently so it's more likely that he saw it), but that thread's about asking what the appeal of retro commercials are. This one comes off more as a thread about our favorite classic commercials in...
Wow, I've seen all of those commercials online, and two out of three on TV ("Where's the beef?" I've seen on TV Land as a retromercial).
One of my favorites is this Game Boy Pocket ad with teenagers and old people bickering.
And there's also this Nestlie Quick commercial (which...
I'm pretty sure that it wasn't, though to be very sure one would need to see every episode from the late 1980s. It would have made a good regular episode (so would Learning About Letters).
Well, the page about this clip mentions an episode that it appeared in. I searched the Muppet Wiki page for that episode, and I sure was surprised. I didn't think it was mentioned on the wiki (except for in talk pages).
Well, I made a parody of Kick Starter. Though the main character isn't an impression of any real filmmakers (big name or not), it is supposed to be the same idea, using Kick Starter for more money despite having a huge budget already.
Yeah, I know that most people who donate a certain...
There is one thread I remember reading about a long time ago, I think it was in 2004 or 2005. Not quite sure if it'd be easy to find in search or what the best key word would be, but somebody started a thread long ago, saying that they were able to get Sesame Workshop to provide a DVD copy of...
A few things about the 1939 Wizard of Oz movie:
What happened to Ms. Gultch after Dorthy came back? She was going to take Toto to the sheriff to have him put to sleep, he runs away, but at the end, after the dream, we never hear of her again (technically we hadn't heard from her since she was...
Is it just me, or do most TV shows that heavily involve school have the assistant principal be more involved than the main principal? Characters like Mr. Bones on Doug and Mr. Woodman (who I think eventually got promoted to principal in the last season) on Welcome Back, Kotter. When I was in...
Well, they did need to give Kermit some sort of major role. I don't know if any of The Wizard of Oz characters fits his personality well enough. If it was a comic from Boom I could see them using Link or Beauregard or someone more appropriate.
Another good idea for an anniversary DVD would be to focus more on the history than whether the clips are among the best-known. Like try to get clips of every recurring character and sketch possible. 40 Years of Sunny Days did lack quite a few recurring characters and sketches.
Here's a...
I'll have to check, but I thought that Street Gang said that Sesame Workshop sold their ownership so that they could afford to purchase the rights to the Sesame Street Muppets.
I'm planning on making a YouTube video called "The Pointless Awards", and I'm letting the public vote. On my YouTube channel I have already posted several short videos announcing the categories and nominees.
Here's one of ten such videos:
If you have a YouTube account, I prefer that you put...
