This is all great, though I can't remember if I've seen this thread before or not. I feel like I have, and yet also feel I haven't. Did you ever do The Muppet Mindset article about this? I don't recall seeing it, and I look at the website every day.
Have you ever thought about making some...
I've only seen one Larry and Phyllis segment, and that one is boring (though I'd like to see some others to see if they get better), but all of the Buddy and Jim segments I've seen are great. There's also Wally and Ralph who were on the show from 1971-1974. I've only seen one of their bits, and...
Wow, Drtooth's post was.... A little bit better than mine. It mentioned some of the things I wanted to bring up but forgot (like the use of song covers and giving alternate performers to Frank's characters).
But there are a few things I don't think have been brought up:
This might be minor...
In one episode of Dexter's Laboratory, Dexter and Dee Dee compete on a game show, and at one point they each have to answer a question about what each others favorite thing is. Dee Dee correctly guesses Dexter's secret lab, and Dexter holds up the answer confirming she is right... But why WOULD...
Recently a new thread has been started about breaking down the timeline of Sesame Street, referring to periods as "The Gold Era", "The Silver Era", "The Bronze Era", "The Copper Era", and then "What Comes After Copper" (in multiple parts). And I thought it would be cool to do a series of DVDs...
With me, all three Old School sets get played near-equally (I have no way of actually knowing how many times I've watched each set, disc, episode, scene, and so on... It's not like anybody keeps records of such things). However, when I watch the first two sets, I tend to watch individual scenes...
I had no idea it was unpopular with the fans or writers. I think the 40th anniversary book says that the segment was popular/tested well but was dropped because it was too similar to other children's shows at the time (though if that's the reason then the whole show should have gone back to the...
Okay, let's see if I can do this...
The Gold I'll break this down into a few parts....
Part 1: Season 1. This season is like an experimental pilot season and very different from other seasons. There's very few cast members and very few Muppets, and very few Muppet performers (only three...
Is that the same Behind the Scenes video shown on the Copper Pot YouTube channel, or is it something different? Will the film still have behind-the-scenes footage from the movie (and maybe Caroll discussing it)?
Don't know if you are allowed to reveal or not, but was Jane Henson interviewed...
I think I'll do this later, but I feel there should be some kind of special term for the first season or two, like "Pilot Season" (or "Pilot Gold Era"), where the show is a bit different but still part of the "Gold Era". Though if I want to divide the "gold era" due to differences early on...
What's the point of stealing some really valuable one-of-a-kind item? I would think that maybe some one-of-a-kind item like an original painting would be stolen for the sake of selling for a high price... But why would somebody want to own something so valuable and one-of-a-kind aside from...
So has anybody found any known factual mistakes in this book yet?
It seems like not much from this book has been sourced onto Muppet Wiki yet. I know that some info regarding Tales of the Tinkerdee has, but otherwise I don't think any info has. And there is a thread on the Muppet Wiki forums...
I watched it. I was reminded about it on the Tough Pigs facebook page, but wasn't sure what time The Daily Show started (though I did turn the TV to Comedy Central and saw that something else was on). Then I forgot about it until I finally decided to check and see what time the show started, and...

That gets me thinking, I know that the Tough Pigs and Muppet Mindset people have occasionally gotten to chat with/spend time with Muppet people, outside of interviews for the websites.... When they do so, I wonder if they ever do talk about their careers or ask certain questions fans would want...
I bet he wouldn't get that if he was interviewed for one of the Muppet fan sites. Though it seems he's not interested in that. A year ago one of the Tough Pigs people actually came across him and Frank turned down an offer to be interviewed, saying something along the lines of he "doesn't do...
In Toy Story, soon after Andy gets his Buzz Lightyear action figure, he replaces a lot of cowboy stuff in his room with Buzz Lightyear stuff. He replaces posters, drawings, and bed sheets. I can see the drawings on the wall replaced, and maybe also posters, but why replace his cowboy blankets...
I know this is a ten-year-old thread and I started another thread about it last week, but there finally will be a DK book about Muppets. A "Muppet Character Encyclopedia", coming February 7.
