If this was made two years ago, I wonder what took them so long to actually release it.
I noticed at the beginning that Walter refers to Muppets Most Wanted. I'm pretty sure it didn't have that title in 2012, so either some of it was shot recently or Peter Linz dubbed the line.
A couple more ideas:
#1. Rerelease many old Muppet storybooks (if Disney has the rights to do so). For the 40th anniversary of Sesame Street, there was a special book compilation of many existing Sesame Street books, so the Muppets could do the same. Maybe include Robin Hood, Two for the Show...
Yeah, after getting the third season DVD I noticed how Bear on Patrol first appeared very late in the season, with three in a small time span (including one that was significantly different from the others). And sometime later, after looking at the guide at Muppet Wiki, noticed that Bear on...
I had only watched them once when I posted this, and then I watched again after posting... This is what happens when I only watch something once on the day it premieres.
Suddenly I wonder: Is it really called "Disney Drive On", or just "Drive On", with the Disney logo over it, like how many recent Disney productions have "Disney" (instead of "Disney's") over the titles.
Here's part of an episode: http://video.disney.com/watch/kermit-left-me-in-charge-disney-drive-on-with-the-muppets-disney-movies-anywhere-4ff6e46249e287809be4d010
Not too sure how I feel about the Muppets working at Disney in-universe. It'd be better if they were running their own Muppet studio.
Actually, Matt Vogel is only the understudy for Big Bird. I think he talked about Oscar in an interview, can't exactly remember what he said, but Oscar doesn't seem to have an understudy. Of course the whole point of having Vogel be an understudy for Big Bird in the first place was because...
They would if it was a TV series, but if it were a movie it probably wouldn't be such a big deal. Did the fans make a big deal out of the fact that Miss Piggy headlined two TV specials, or that the Play-Along Videos had volumes hosted by Fozzie and Rowlf (actually Kermit didn't really host/star...
All of the movies based on Dr. Seuss books are generally hated by the general public (well, The Grinch and Horton seem to be liked a little more). All of those movies had already been adapted into television specials. This makes me wonder: if they made a movie based on a Dr. Seuss book that...
I recently saw an episode of Leave It to Beaver that I think has the "Society Marches On" trope, though I'm not entirely sure. But there's an episode where Beaver and his friends buy shirts with either a monster or a martian, with eyes popped out. Really ugly designs. Beaver and his friends...
The "Classic Character Collection" makes me wonder if more old school characters will be included. Of course it could (and probably will) include classic characters still heavily used today, and the Two-Headed Monster is still used quite a bit. I wonder if they'll come out with a Herry Monster...
I suddenly had to stop writing before I was ready to. One thing I noticed about the registered copyrights, regarding characters, is that very few if any characters made from whatnots were listed (I don't think it even lists whatnot types/patterns). As far as I recall, it doesn't list Wayne...
You're right about the voices. It seems like all known skits with Roosevelt and his mother came before the earliest-known appearance of a classroom sketch. I wonder if the mother was dropped by then or what (though I can't think of a reason why they'd need to drop his mother in favor of putting...
I feel like the episodes with Elke Sommers and Lesley Ann Warren are among the best underrated episodes. They both feature a good amount of segments with minor/obscure characters. Elke Sommers has two numbers with Bobby Benson's Baby Band, Louis Kazagger, a two-part Pigs in Space segment, a...
A year ago somebody purchased on ebay an official guide book on the terms for Disney's deal with buying the Muppets and did a couple blog posts scanning various images from that book (I think there's still a lot not posted as well). That is on my mind a lot (and I posted a lot of the stuff...
