Bear arrives on Disney+ The beloved series has been off the air for the past 15 years. Now all four seasons are finally available for a whole new generation.
Don't know if I'm missing the point, but Henson still owns the rights to that one. Though I doubt Disney would have made it available by now if Disney got the rights.
I mentioned this elsewhere recently, but I feel like Sam the Eagle got a slight boost in prominence during the 1990s. Sure, he was missing from the albums and Muppet Classic Theater, but in The Muppet Christmas Carol he got his biggest role (at the time) in a Muppet movie (in all previous movies...
Somehow I get the feeling that if The Newsman was cut that he wouldn't have been mentioned in the announcement.
Really? I don't remember any Muppet Mindset articles that criticized the movie in a major way. I'll have to reread Ryan's articles on his set visit (or did somebody else at Muppet...
I wonder if there should be less long segments and in its place put in more letter and number segments. A few years ago I think somebody said that the show often only had one segment for each (not counting the Letter and Number of the Day segments that lead to the letter/number segments).
As...
Hopefully Joseph Gordon-Levitt's star power will get this one made (and if it succeeds then hopefully it'll lead to me being able to remember what his whole name is easier).
I wonder what kind of role he would have. For all the years we've heard of a potential FR movie, I never thought about...
Chapter 8
Everyone was backstage, ready for the first show to start.
"I'm ready to sing", said Johnny Fiama.
"And I'm ready to make sure nobody boos you", said Sal.
"I feel sooooo cute!", said Bean.
"Cute enough to EAT!", said Big Mean Carl, who chased Bean, right into Angelo's...
Recently I saw a series of YouTube videos about the various video game generations, and in the most recent one it was predicted that this generation would be the last to have consoles, though it was speculated that Nintendo will probably have one more console after the WiiU, with Sony and...
So how many Saturday Night Live guest hosts had recurring characters on that show?
I know Steve Martin had one of the Festruck Brothers and Theodore of York, Buck Henry had Uncle Frank and the customer in the Samuri sketches (are those customers supposed to be the same character or are they...
Chapter 7
Walter ran down the stairs and out the nearest door, with Mark Shadowman running behind him.
"Gotta get to the new theater and warn the others!", said Walter.
"Heh heh heh", thought Shadowman, "he doesn't realize that he just ran out of the theater."
Walter ran past a sign...
Chapter 6
"Hey, Scooter!", said Bean Bunny, "I have a cute little dance for this weeks show."
Bean started dancing.
"Bean!", said Scooter, causing Bean to stop, "that is too cute, and we've already got a full show for this week!"
Bean looked saddened, "but your uncle who owns this...
Chapter 5
The Swedish Chef came to do some cooking. After speaking some Swedish...
"Oh, Chef", said Scooter, "I guess Kermit didn't tell you. You're still working at the Muppet theater."
The Swedish Chef asked, in Swedish, who was going to be the cooking at this theater, and then Angelo...
Sega had a deal with CTW? I had no idea. I know Sega released one Sesame Street video game but that's all I know of. And if it was made for the show, I'd expect them to be able to show it again (even if they don't), even if they'd need to negotiate to put it on DVD or sesamestreet.org.
Does Nintendo still make new games for the Nintendo Wii, or are existing Wii games just still in print (assuming all the Wii games I see in stores are not just unsold stock from a few years ago)?
Is there a trope for characters hated/disliked/despised by the creator, particularly ones who became a lot more popular than the creators would have liked? Are there enough examples?
I know there's Charles Schultz disliking Pig Pen, Walt Disney hated Goofy and each year would threaten to drop...
I wonder if Sam will tolerate things the kids say and do better than he does with the Muppets. Will he look down on them or be disgusted by them? Will his attitude be more like his attitude in Sex and Violence, where he seemed to have a "whatever" attitude towards the weirdness? Or will Sam...
It's just a shame that Animal is the only member of The Electric Mayhem to be included here.
I wonder if all of these will be Muppet interactions with kids, or if any will just have the Muppets.
For years I thought about the fact that Bunsen and Beaker seem to have become a bit more major in the early 1990s after the passings of Jim Henson and Richard Hunt which led to Rowlf, Scooter, and most of the Electric Mayhem being reduced to minor roles, wondering if part of that had to do with...
It would be great if certain segments could just be featured certain days of the week (though that'd be a little hard when there's 26 episodes a season, and also when the show normally only has a new episode on Thursdays). Like Abby's Flying Fairy School on Mondays, Cookie's Crumby Pictures on...
Chapter 4
Solid Foam was about to practice.
"Okay, let's practice", said Beard.
"Yeah man", mumbled Flash.
"Wait, I can't find my drum sticks", said the drummer.
They've got to be around here somewhere", said Clifford.
But as everyone was looking away in search of the drum...
Chapter 3
Scooter arrived at the new theater, along with Kermit and a number of other Muppets.
"So, this is it", said Kermit, observing that this new theater needed to be cleaned-up and repaired.
"I'll work on it", said Beauregard.
"But you're still working at the old...
