Lesser known, lightly discussed, Henson films.

Just to clarify , the Jim Henson Creature shop did NOT do the plant effects, while many of the crew who worked on it were creature shop allumni, (Lyle Conway comes to mind), and some of the puppeteers worked on the film(Brian Henson for one)and yes Frank Oz Directed it, but the creature shop did...

    Antron Fleece- Hiding the seams

i think u are over reacting just abit, in the photos i dont see anything it could be thet the fleece is 12 oz. not 14 oz. which will affect the seem a bit, but over all it looks like a well made puppet, i would suggest not mucking around to much with it if its not something you are familiar...

    Antron Fleece- Hiding the seams

it also depends on how close u are to the puppet , in person, in your hands, u will see the seems, it isnt going to make them completley invisible, if you hold kermit in your hands you can find his seems, , with out a picture i have no idea how bad this issue is on your puppet ,

lots of different ways to do it, find the way that works best for you

    bird feathers?

any puppet's design is going to guide you in the directionand materials you choose, Puppets with feathers can look great, but they will require special care since feathers will break, and fall off, and if you are using it in a rough manner will get dirty quickly so u will need to replace...

    kermit the frog

just to clarify for everyone , the head pattern that is out there is from aToy, it will make a serviciable kermit like puppet , but you are not going to find the actual kermits patterns, they are not availible to the General Public, but the pattern you do find will make a fine puppet and it will...

    Fleece questions for Kermit

For patterning that will be fine. it will pill with use and age, and if you Dye it in a washing amchine, i suggest hand dying , and hand rinsing , the just spin it out in a washer and fluff it in the dryer. not sure off the top of my head but 1 1/2 to 2 yards is a reasonable estimate. NO...

    Fleece questions for Kermit

Some Corrections Actually he has been made of Fleece since the sixties, it may not have been called Antron but it was a similar materila to that , since the Seventies he has been made out of a custom manufactured fabric that was the same stuff used on the Fisher Price plush toys released...

    Muppets Auditions Sept 2005+

dude , they read them all the time, when i was at the shop in nyc , we used to go here every other day to see if anybody heard anything before us(which was often the case). so yeah it might be wise for individuals who auditioned to keep it mum, and quite frankly,. as curious as we may...

    1/2 Dome Eyes suppliers?

nope thier are no magic puppet supply stores, u will need to use the magic of the internet, shop around your local craft stores, and use the old imagination, this time of year is great for finding odd egg shapes, and other odds and ends that can be used for eyes

    1/2 Dome Eyes suppliers?

i think u need to read thru the entire thread, u cant generally find a store that will sell puppet eyes, the ones most availible are made for dolls, and are limited buy size if u want a specific thing u will have to look for something the right size and customize it your self.

    Rivkin in the news

personally i thought he was a lame CEO, but then again i think they all are, they reap the most from the hard work and talent of others and do evrything they can to pay the talent behind the programs as little as possible, then complain about the bottom line as they pile into thier limos, and...

    Storytelling & puppetry

EDITIED FOR SPACE i agree here, i guess i can be a bit of a design snob, if im not happy with the look of something i just cannot get into , a great story,or sketch, any kind of writing really with bad art, be it puppets ,animation, comic book art, or what have you will do nothing for me, i...
