I found the inside cover to Muppet Treasures, which says that Fozzie auditioned 53 times before he was hired.
It's similar to the inside cover fact in Muppet Moments, where it says that Fozzie waited weeks before he could get an audition.
I just found this old promo about the early Nicktoons. I don't remember seeing it before (this would have aired just before if not at the time I had gotten cable).
It provides a funny "take THAT" at USA's Cartoon Express. I had forgotten about that (how many people remember Cartoon...
Well, I assume this means more original street stories, as opposed to a season of mostly new street stories and a small portion of recycled street stories from two seasons ago. We wouldn't get two street stories per hour-long episode (back in the pre-2002 days, there were occasionally episodes...
One thing I've thought about: Sometimes, there'll be a major tragedy that inspires Sesame Workshop to do episodes to help the kids deal with those kinds of issues (whether it be 9/11 or a hurricane). I feel like maybe they should have made a deal where if there was a need to make such an episode...
I just realised something crucial I forgot to specifically mention: The yellow line they are following is a line made of light.
Chapter 9
Rizzo the Rat and Uncle Deadly followed the yellow line, seeing a red line, a blue line, and a black line, then they finally found the green light...
Chapter 8
Uncle Deadly and Rizzo walked down a long hallway.
"How much longer do we have to walk down this hallway?", asked Rizzo.
"Until pigs fly", said Deadly.
A herd of pigs then flew past them.
"Okay, we go through that opening in the wall", said Deadly.
The wall appeared to have no...
Oh, the way you said it ("they've only made three Muppet-centric number bits (not involving The Count)"), I thought you meant that there's only three Muppet number bits in widescreen and that The Count wasn't in any of them.
I didn't think they would give them up completely, just post less clips before they are broadcast.
At least if Sesame Street is going to have first-run episodes on a channel other than PBS, it's a commercial-free channel (are the various preschool channels commercial-free?).
Actually, I have seen some number segments with The Count that were in widescreen. There's the one where Oscar tells The Count that the number of the day is zero, as well as the "By Five" song with Train.
Not many, but it's some.
This week Tough Pigs is having a series of articles about Sesame Place, some of them written by this books author!
Now I wish there was a book on the history of Sesame Street Live. That show is just as old as Sesame Place.
Moving to HBO sounds odd, because I don't associate it as a children's/family channel. The channel did broadcast Fraggle Rock during its original run, but has HBO had any other hit children's series? Does the channel currently have any shows for children (the press release mentions there will be...
Chapter 7
"I'm the real Uncle Deadly", said one of the Uncle Deadly's (the one who showed up behind Rizzo).
"No, I am the real Uncle Deadly", said the other one.
"You were never the real Uncle Deadly", said the first one.
"Okay, I'll ask a question only the real one would know"...
I wonder if there'll be more DVD releases of full episodes now that it's going to always be a half-hour. In the past few years we've gotten DVD releases of two full hour-long episodes each, but now I wouldn't be surprised if there will be DVDs with four half-hour episodes (and I never wondered...
Chapter 6
Rizzo followed Uncle Deadly into a nearby cave.
"Now follow me", said Deadly.
"I've already been doing that", said Rizzo. It was completely dark (except for maybe their eyes).
"I can't see", said Rizzo.
"I'll hold onto your hand until we get to the light", said Deadly...
Chapter 5
Kermit and Gonzo were watching Rizzo in his hospital room.
"Paging Dr. Henson, Dr. Oz, Dr. Nelson, to the emergency room....", said a voice on the intercom.
"You know, Kermit, seeing Rizzo like that makes me want to reconsider my dangerous acts", said Gonzo, "but of course...
Chapter 4
Back in the real world (outside of Rizzo's unconciousness), Kermit, Fozzie, Gonzo, and Pepe were all worrying about Rizzo.
"What'll we do without Rizzo?", asked Gonzo.
"We did plenty in our 2011 film", said Fozzie.
"You did too much without me as well, okay", said Pepe...
The answer is probably no, but does anybody know if the producers of The Brady Bunch Hour offered to have Robbie Risk reprise his role of Oliver?
I'm guessing he wasn't offered, but you never know. In fact, I wonder if he would have reprised his role if he ever was offered to for any of the...
