Koozebane was necessary
As Philip said, Koozebane was a necessary evil. No, it's not likely to be the most popular playset ever BUT Kermit in the trenchcoat wasn't a Muppet Show only version. To get away from problems around other shows and other licenses, they had to do it with the Koozebane...
Keep in mind the 'future'
I doubt that anyone will care right now, but one has to consider 20 years from now. Vintage collectors tend to look for the rarest items, and if there is a distinct difference between the first 350, and the second 500 produced, they'll care. Even more importantly, if...
Nope...
He's just peachy. However, it appears that there is a difference between the actual Invisible Beaker at the party, and the one going out to the 500 club members. Let me rephrase - a difference in the package.
Not to get everyone's fur up, I'm just checking so I can have an accurate...
Question on the club Invisible Beaker
I have a question on the club invisible beaker for those that received them. Uh, actually two questions:
a) were the staples wide and flat or round?
b) did the polybag itself have holes punched in it, sorta like air holes, half way down?
Thanks...
Whoopsie...
After getting back from SDCC, I was a bit hazy, and posted my topic on this in the old Merchandise forum. Ah well, the brain is less jet lagged now.
Thanks ralphyman!

I put up a review of the SDCC show exclusive Invisible Spray Fozzie last night over at the usual:

You should also check out the 'New Feature' on the SDCC, where I have quite a few shots of the Palisades booth, along with some other lines you might...
Sets vs individual
Part of the beauty of the sets is getting the more obscure characters. Add to that the show theme, and packing them together at five a set is ideal.
Another factor to consider is retailer support. I'm betting Palisades will get better retailer support on sets, at a...
Not you
No, he's not refering to you - there have been hundreds of auctions for the invisible beakers. And yes, one of those auctions, in it's description, said everybody was drunk at the party.
Michael
MWC
Heheheheheh...
No, I wasn't drunk, although with an open bar and a Saturday night, I might have been had I not had a four hour drive in front of me. ;-)
Michael
MWC
Ah, but there's no driving for me in SDCC!
No way of knowing...
There's no way of knowing what happened to those two cases, so I wouldn't go assuming they ended up on ebay.
Also, there were plenty of people at that party who probably weren't too concerned about their Beaker, so I'm not surprised they ended up on ebay. That and the...
Less expensive? Have to be...
I'd think you'd have no trouble doing the PVC's at a far more reasonable price than any DC Direct product. Their stuff is way overpriced, and they are forced to deal through Diamond, a distributor that expects and demands major markups for themselves, not to...
Gotta disagree...
I don't want mini's of the exact same figures I'm getting in another format. What do I need them for?
I want figures I WON'T get in the other format, simply because a one shot costume or episode specific version of a second string character wouldn't sell enough. But...
Yes, it's an excellent idea
He's not talking about Blockos. He's refering to something similar to the new Simpsons mini-figures. I just did a review, so you can see what I'm talking about:
http://www.mwctoys.com/REVIEW_INDEX.htm
I think this is a fantastic idea, and having them themed...
Yep
I plan on having the rest of the pages taken care of by next week, before I get Fozzie in SDCC. Then I'll go back and fancy up the main page, with a better logo and layout.

Okay, so where did the cool release page that James Vier used to have (and now says it's hosted here) end up? I've searched all over and can't find it...

Lighting is everything
Okay, so maybe not everything, but it's pretty important to good shots.
First rule, never use a flash.
Second rule, it's okay to have some shadows and darker areas - it will make the figures look 'real' and 3D.
Third rule, and this one is a personal feeling...
It's a Muppets night! I've been a little tardy with these two, but it's been a hectic couple weeks. While there's two figures, it's only one review.
I've included the very cool Vanishing Cream Beaker, Wizard Word exclusive, with the Tuxedo Kermit, Toyfare and TRU exclusive. But are...
