Where are all these classic Sesame Street episodes coming from?

I'm pretty sure that Scott hasn't been given copies of every episode not yet fully guided and pictured on the wiki (I saw him mention in one thread that he was expecting to get a certain episode later this year), but I wonder if he's been able to pick what episodes he gets or if he gets them at...

What song can you not get out of your head?

Lately, I keep having that grand music that plays in The Great Muppet Caper just before "Hey, a Movie!" in my head. The music/part between when the balloon crash lands and Gonzo saying "what a fantastic beginning!" I believe this music also plays in The Muppets: A Celebration of 30 Years when...

    Caroll Spinney: The Farewell Tour

I wonder if she meant people who run/write articles for the website (I believe that Joe started working for Sesame Workshop before her retirement), or members of the forum (I signed up a long time ago, but while I've been able to post on other Delphi forums, it never let me log in to the...

    Little things we've noticed

Looking at Muppet Wiki's "what links here" for a number of images, it seems like when a character does a new version of their signature song, the old version doesn't really air again. I'm mainly referring to when it's just the original character doing a new rendition, not if a celebrity does...

Where are all these classic Sesame Street episodes coming from?

Speaking of the last episode of season 6 being repeated street scenes, lately I have been wondering if maybe the season finales should have been basically "highlight reels" for the season. Not an obvious retrospective (the street story/scenes would be new and more or less like an average street...

American Archive of Public Broadcasting to preserve nearly 4,500 Sesame Street episodes

Yes, I was being sarcastic (and playing along with a few posts). I had thought about taking the joke further and saying that elves would give fans the option of either all episodes but 847 or they would only get that one and their memories of all other episodes they've seen would be erased...

Should the complete series of The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss be released on DVD?

Well, Dr. Seuss seems to continue to be a popular brand, so it would have consumer interest.

    Caroll Spinney: The Farewell Tour

Is he still on his "farewell tour"? When it was announced I wasn't sure if it was meant to be a tour before retiring or if he was planning to retire from touring, but this tour was announced before his retirement was announced. Several months ago there was a post on Caroll Spinney's official...

Sesame Street classic clips on YouTube

So that clip that was reuploaded was taken down. While it doesn't matter now, what clip was reuploaded?

Sesame Street classic clips on YouTube

A new "Sesame Street Rewind" is online:

American Archive of Public Broadcasting to preserve nearly 4,500 Sesame Street episodes

And isn't it true they're offering two choices: Either every episode except 847 or 847 and no other episode at all?

    Little things we've noticed

Recently, the Sesame Street page at Muppet Wiki had it's "notable episodes" section taken down, after somebody had posted about it in the forum and it was decided it was a bit redundant to have that there on the wiki at this point (when there's the milestones page and such). Somebody mentioned...

    The "You know what?" thread

It seems like the works of Chuck Jones were often a bit intellectual/high brow/artsy, the kind of stuff I'd expect the academy to prefer. And yet only two of his Warner Bros, shorts (and one of his MGM shorts) won Oscars. Friz Freleng is the one who earned Warner Bros. more Oscars for best...

Your Thoughts: The Muppet Movie 40th Anniversary in theaters July 25 and July 30, 2019

I came in when they were already showing the questions (they didn't play them on a loop; I was surprised that when they were done, they just showed advertisements for sponsored things and other Fathom events). The only other one I remember is "what role did Mel Brooks play?"

Sesame Street classic clips on YouTube

It is interesting that in the rare instances of fans copying and uploading what Muppet Wiki has posted that they've been cooperative when fans let them know that Muppet Wiki doesn't want them re-uploaded by them. I guess it's a case where they're informed that they won't get more of these rare...

Where are all these classic Sesame Street episodes coming from?

Now the wiki has pictures for episode 1505. One thing that's interesting is that it's a season 12 episode to include the original Rubber Duckie. I know the original would later be in a season 16 episode, but it's still amazing to hear about that one airing post-season 1. Looking at a previous...

"Sesame Street's 50th Anniversary Celebration" special to air November 9 on HBO and November 17 on PBS

No. But as she is a newer character, there's a lot about the shows past she doesn't know. Other characters can inform her of the shows history. And it'd be more appropriate for her to learn of the Sesame Street before she was born (or whatever) than it was for Elmo in The Street We Live On.

"Sesame Street's 50th Anniversary Celebration" special to air November 9 on HBO and November 17 on PBS

In the last three years, there has been a Julia-focused episode that's aired on PBS around the same time as the original HBO premier, unlike the other new episodes. I wonder if she'll be the focus of the special.

Your Thoughts: The Muppet Movie 40th Anniversary in theaters July 25 and July 30, 2019

For some reason, I had never noticed this part before until I saw it in the theater yesterday. They had some trivia questions before the film started, one was "how many characters did Jim Henson voice in The Muppet Movie". I actually felt stuck counting in my head how many of them spoke, I...
