Disney Muppet Babies Season 1 Episode 19a - The Best, Best Friend

For some reason, Disney Channel only showed the Rowlf episode. I really liked the duet with Kermit and Rowlf hearkening back to I Hope that Something Better comes Along. I think Matt Danner does a very good Rowlf voice.

Sesame Street Season 48 Episode 4810 - The Last Straw

I learned why Josh Groban's song was so catchy: It was composed by Matthew Sklar. Broadway composers seem to put the most effort into Sesame songs these days, even when it's a street story song where the lyrics and music were written separately.

Disney Muppet Babies Season 1 Episode 18 - Summer the Great / Planet Gonzo

Sorry I didn't talk about this earlier, got caught up in other things. I liked how the first episode showed how everyone can be great in their own way. I liked the jazzy song Gonzo sang with the aliens who look like him. I also loved Gonzo's line "That's it, no goodbye selfie?"

Fozzie Bear voicing ‘Dr. Enamel’ on Big City Greens

Finally got around to watching this rather odd guest appearance. I do find it interesting how they're trying to find ways for the Muppets to be seen as normal celebrities.

Sesame Street Season 49 Episode 4913 - The Big Pretend Band

I was pleasantly surprised to see Mama Bear again. I liked how Bert was surprised to learn how Ernie's uncle wasn't a persona put on by Ernie. The best part of Ernie having a performer who's more available, besides being able to see more of him, is seeing him interact with Abby. The bit with...

JD Hansel: The Happytime Murders. So it's now at the point where it's nominated for Razzies. It was a thoroughly hated movie, even if it was in some respects very impressive, and we discussed it on the show before, it was, boy! It wasn't just the people who hate Melissa McCarthy who hated this...

Sesame Street Season 50 News and Rumors

MuppetSpot is the one who's right. Steve went into detail about it on his blog: https://web.archive.org/web/2017090...ire-muppetpundit.com/2017/09/08/housekeeping/

    The New New Quote Thread

Brian Henson shows the sword fight with Kermit and Tim Curry from MTI at an event in August 2018. "We did the shot on the beach without Kermit there, with the camera moving and tilting up and down, and we had poofs that were poofing the sand, and strings that were flipping the branches, and then...

Sesame Street Season 49 Episode 4912 - Elmo's Happy Little Train

I did really like how Oscar ended up liking playing with Elmo, Zoe and Rosita. I know two of the pickles were played by Leslie, and two were played by Stephanie, not sure who played the remaining 2. The Andy Grammer song was pretty catchy. I loved Gonger saying "What have I done to deserve this?"

"The Happytime Murders" premieres August 24, 2018

To quote Muppet podcaster, JD Hansel: "I don't know why Goofer didn't get more screen time. He was in all the trailers and he was on screen for like a minute. Drew Massey did a great job, I don't get it."

TV Alert: Kermit, Piggy, Pepe and Beaker on Drop the Mic Wednesday January 30, 2019

Well, that was fun. I liked how Piggy burned Kermit by saying their not on Sesame Street, and everyone interpreting Beaker's meeps as cursing, and Beaker stopping Piggy from saying "kiss my ***."

Kermit, Piggy, Pepe and Beaker will be on Drop the Mic tonight at 10 PM.

Early (pre-Kevin Clash) Elmo appearances (Brian Muehl and Richard Hunt)

It wasn't necessarily Jerry's fault that his Snuffy was so depressive. In the Muppet Guys Talking documentary, Jerry said Jon Stone said to him Snuffy should be Eeyore-like.

    Steve Whitmire 2018 Convention Appearances

Good to see what what Steve's new character will be, a literal Internet troll. Also here's video of Steve with Caroll and Debi Spinney. I think since Caroll and Debi are willing to do panels with Steve, that should indicate that being a bad employee and being a bad person are not the same thing.

Sesame Street Season 49 Episode 4911 - Honk If You Love Libraries

The best part was seeing the Honkers in a bunch of the scenes. I also liked Elmo geeking out over Galactic Gail, that was a hilarious performance by Ryan. The end with Gail reading the book to Elmo and having a bit of an ego was kinda funny.

    The New New Quote Thread

Clayton Roederer: Hi Cookie Monster and Grover. What's wrong? Grover played by Jarrod Fairclough: Oh, hello, Mr. Roederer. Cookie and I are just feeling a little bit sad. Clayton: Why is that? Grover: Well, it is just that Frank Oz always said that we were special. He said that he would never...

"The Happytime Murders" premieres August 24, 2018

This is sad: The movie has been nominated for Razzie awards. It's sad that some people couldn't look past the crassness and realize that there is a really good story at the center of this movie.
