I would assume probably nobody remembers him. I have only ever seen him on one episode from the 1992-93 season. I remember it was show #3017. He was purple with a green nose, and he had glasses. He brought his own "10 second toaster" into the fixit shop, because it only toasted for 9 seconds...
But I think those shows are very popular with "The N's" audience. And Sesame Street Unpaved was never all that popular to begin with. But I mean, they are coming out with new channels all the time. My cable company adds 3 new channels like every month. That's why I thought there could be a CTW...
I know, this is very sad. We tried setting up a petition to get them to keep it, but we just couldn't get enough signatures. I mean, it was great while it lasted for a good 4 years. But it just didn't work. So I guess it's gone forever!! (cries really hard)
There really isn't anything we can...
I think David Rudman performed him temporarily, before they found Eric Jacobson. I would assume all the skits you see with him being played by David Rudman were done before Eric Jacobson. But in some of those letter of the day skits, I could have sworn it was Frank Oz!
Actually, Elmo was originally performed by someone named Brian Muehl, but he wasn't called Elmo until later. I think Richard may have performed him for a year or 2, but that's pretty much it. The original Elmo can also be seen in "Me Lost Me Cookie At The Disco". And also, "We Are All Monsters"...
I was just going to post something about this! The reason why they cancelled it is because, in case you didn't know, they weren't actually making any new shows, those were all reruns.
However, Jeffrey Gray says CTW has decided to collaborate with some company and make some new shows. But I...
I do know the credits with the sunset and the tide on the beach. On that one that Noggin airs from 1989, it used the regular theme music, but there was also special theme music they used when it took place at night. It sounded like a celeste, kind of like a music box. It was actually on Unpaved...
Okay now did they have another closing theme between the animated one in the early 70s and the one with Barkley the Dog in the late 70s? And also, I remember in the early 90s, they used the Barkley one most of the time, but sometimes, I remember there was one with Big Bird and kids walking...
I love that series! I actually noticed that when it first started, the lady's voice sounded a lot different, and a lot lower.
I liked the fact that it always involved the guy doing these impossible duties! I wonder why that's all they ever did!
Did you see this at the Museum of TV & Radio? It's amazing you remember the episode number and everything! I think Chris Cerf wrote that song! Also, didn't #2795 have the "New Ball In Town" animation?
Those were not the only shows CTW produced. They also produced Square One, Cro, and Ghostwriter. But I see your point, I don't see how the channel would be popular if it only had 6 shows. What I was planning on was maybe they could air some foreign versions of the show, some old movies and...
