This version of "Wake Up!" was new, but it was originally from about 1990, and it has been done several times. Lillian sang it, and I think Elmo did at one time. There was a 123 show from 1993 with Jamal and Angela singing it to Kayla, and I believe Gina sang it once in her day care center in...
There was another elephant in an appearance from Season 25, where Mother Chicken was doing a rhyme with a pig, penguin, elephant, hot dog, and bun. The rhyme was called "Say, Duba Duba," and it went like this:

I think they should put Elmo's World on it's own, and put Sesame Street back the way it used to be!
There is one skit I would like to see on the new season, and I think it would be quite appropriate. Remember "Zero Cookies" with Ernie and Cookie Monster?

One of them, I had heard OF it, but never saw it until today. I think it's called "Moo Song" with Clementine, Gladys, and 2 other cows. I loved it. It was like broadway, and there was a brown fence...
Sadly, the reason why the quality of the music has declined is basically for the same reason as why the whole show has declined over all those years. As Chris himself explained to me, they don't want all those parodies and stuff for older kids, they only want kiddie things.
I know, I know...
I believe Tom Dunsmuir wrote the lyrics, not Luis Santeiro. Anyway, this was a very rare segment. It was only used once or twice a season during the mid 80s, and then it was used in one show from the 1991-92 season.
I think there were several different color versions of those, and many other similar skits. I think it might have actually been so it would look more up to date.
