    Dreams about Muppets...

I dreamed that I was looking at a plush doll of a Fraggle. She was orange and wore a dress, and she reminded me of one of the Tomy Fraggle plushes from 1983.

The New What Made You Frown Today Thread

At first, my aunt actually seemed a lot better. But now she's become a lot worse. I just got the news that she's back in the hospital.

    Little things we've noticed

Oh, Pam did a fine job as Grundgetta. But I miss Brian anyway. I thought he did a better job of voicing Dr. Nobel Price than Kevin Clash did. Though I loved Kevin as Hoots the Owl.

Yeah. When Grundgetta's original performer, Brian Muehl, left, I missed him a lot. But Pam Pam Arciero did a great job, too. So glad she joined CTW.

    Dreams about Muppets...

There was a scene from Labyrinth where Sarah was trying to get Hoggle to help her and offered him some plastic costume jewelry as a bribe, not believing he’d actually like it. To her surprise, he was quite impressed with it, since human things like plastic didn’t exist in his world. Last night...

The New What Made You Frown Today Thread

My aunt just had a stroke and is in the hospital. Another family member wrote to say that my aunt’s speech and vision have been affected, but that her walking and balance seem to be okay. She’s going to be transferred to a rehab place. I hope she’ll be all right.

The new What Made You Smile Today thread

This morning, while I was waiting for a bus, I saw something that looked like metal under the bench. I picked it up and turned it over, and it was a pin of Kermit and Fozzie, with the words “The Muppets.” It says on the back, “Authentic Disney Pins 2023.” I looked it up online, and apparently...

    Quit blowing on my neck!

Bump. Finally found out which episode this bit was from. According to Muppet Wiki, it was episode 2014. Bob's Uncle Wally, was visiting Sesame Street and showed them a drawing of someone he claimed to have met someone called Mrs. Snortleoutagus — like a snuffleupagus, but green instead of...

    Little things we've noticed

I was watching Oscar sing “Alone in a Swamp” to Grundgetta as they imagine themselves floating in a barrel through Swamp Mushy Muddy. One of my favorite parts is the three frogs who sing backup. At one point, the frog in the center had his arms around the other two, and I couldn’t help but...

    Dreams about Muppets...

Just had a bizarre dream caused by too much late-night web-surfing. Last evening, I was reading online about a company that makes hand lotion in different scents, as well as various lip glosses — one of which is a really bright shade of pink. That night, I dreamed that the Fraggles used these...

    Jogging Song

I found a video of the song, and of the scene leading up to it! It was posted on YouTube yesterday.

This one! Lol, Cecile the stalker.

Any SST Songs Make You Cry?

Bump. For me, it’s when I hear “Living Hand in Hand,” from the 1975 album Bert & Ernie Sing-Along. One of Gordon’s lines is “Don’t jump in the creek and drown.” The idea that he’s telling the listener not to commit suicide and that finding a friend will help make life worth living brings a tear...

    Dreams about Muppets...

Had another Fraggle Rock dream. In it, I rescued Boober’s hat from a room full of laser beams that fry you to a crisp if you let them touch you.

Any segments or film inserts you couldn’t stop thinking about?

I always loved the four “Geometry of Circles” animation pieces. The six circles, each a different color, formed by and splitting into various geometric patterns, remind me of dancing. The music would stick in my mind, and sometimes I would find myself about to sing it.

    Dreams about Muppets...

Had a dream where I was on the verge of panicking about something. Gobo, wearing one of his hats and holding his gourd guitar, looked up and said, “Easy... easy...” I wish that he’d been playing his guitar. A tune from him would have calmed me down.

    Dreams about Muppets...

Last night, I dreamed that I met Frank Oz and that we were talking about the ways in which we had the same sense of humor.
