Remember in "The Making of the Labyrinth" documentary that shows the muppeteers shooting the fiery scene aganist a stage of black velvet and later the scene was superimposed on a forest background?
It occured to me while watching the "Down at Fraggle Rock Behind the Scenes" that the green...
Remember seeing that old animated movie with the anime style unicorn on the cover from the 1980s at Blockbuster or any mmovie store, usually in the discount bin? Some of you may know this movie as The Last Unicorn and the author of this hidden animated classic, which is based off his occult...
I've been making Broadway/London Cats costumes for awhile and I'm trying to get a little more business. If anyone is interested I make the complete Cats costumes or just pieces of if you want them. Here are some examples of my work and if you are interested I can give you a price quote...
This has been gnawing at my brain for a while and with five children does Jim have any grandkids? I only hear about the five Henson kids, but not their kids...
I found this article on Anime News Network (www.animenesnetwork.com). Looks like with the Tokyopop deals concerning Labyrinth and Dark Crystal, the JHC will head into more entertainment related to the anime industry.
Jim Henson Studios to produce Parasyte (2005-09-20 13:32:39)

I have been wondering if the opening sequence of Labyrinth was filmed in the US or England. I want to think it was shot in England because that was where the Creature Shop was and alot of the filming took place, but when Sarah is running down the street in the rain I clearly see a US mailbox...
This is kind of related to fantasy worlds seeing as Brian Froud was the conceptual designer for Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal.
I was looking at some of Brian Froud's work at my local library and I read his Lady Cottington's Pressed Fairy Album. It's the sequel to Lady Cottington's Pressed...
I found this interesting tidbit while reading the daily animation news over at the Animated News site. It looks like the Academy of TV Arts and Sciences in North Hollywood have made a sculptture of Jim, but haven't announced anything about it yet. Anyone else hear of it...
I used to have these large 18" tall talking models of Sesame Street characters: Big Bird, Cookie Monster, and Oscar the Grouch. They were modeled after Teddy Ruxbear (spelling error there, I know) and you would put a tape in one of the characters backs and they would talk and move their mouths...
The Hecklers on Teen Titans
I was watching Teen Titans the other day, the episode called "Bunny Raven..."
The Teen Titans were captured by The Amazing Mumbo and turned into animals to perform in his magic show. In the balcony there were two distinct parodies of Statler and Waldorf. There are...
If you could go back in time to any Muppet moment in the history of the of the Muppets, what would it be and why?
I would probably choose to go to the filming of Labyrinth and the premiere, because it was the first movie that really got me into the the Muppets.
I found this article via the Animated News site:
http://www.blackfilm.com/20041210/features/ashanti.shtml
It's mostly about Ashanti's new album, but the Muppet Wizard of Oz starts the interview out.
Enjoy!
While browsing a gallery of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cats, halfway down the page in the Broadway section of the gallery they have an actress putting on make-up with a very familiar cat on her lap. It's Gaffer from The Muppet Show! You know, the cat in the background stage right with an eyepatch...
I was watching Christmas Eve of Sesame Street again and I noticed some affection between Maria and David. For instance, on the subway David kissed Maria on the check and they were sitting very close to one another. Did the two ever have a relationship before Luis or David left?
Does anyone remember a song that goes "Old Friends, New Friends...Life is a pleasure?" or something like that? I think it might have been used in The Christmas Toy, but I'm not sure.
