LOL! Werewolf is a pretty bad flick. She kept pronouncing werewolf as "wur-wolf." Lots of great riffing in that episode. (A guy tumbles down a staircase) Mike: Live from New York, it's Saturday Night! Tom: This is very moving...in that I want to move out of the theater immediately...

Brilliant! Walter may be John Goodman's greatest performance.

The Ladykillers IS worthy, for Tom Hanks's eccentric performance ("waffles! we must have waffles forthwith!"), Irma P. Hall as the woman whose house they hole up in, who doesn't care for "hippity-hop music," and J.K. Simmons as Garth Pancake, who always seems to have an answer/explanation for...

Not even The Ladykillers?;) Nah, I liked The Ladykillers AND Intolerable Cruelty. I'm really looking forward to No Country for Old Men. Great book. I'm sure the Coens will do justice to it. My all-time favorite Coen Bros. film is Miller's Crossing, followed by Blood Simple. The Man...

Oh, and on the Phantom DVD, that is NOT the original theatrical trailer, nor is it any kind of trailer (as the packaging claims). It's basically 3 minutes of the film roughly in chronological order, with major spoilers. It has no narration or onscreen titles of any kind. I don't know where...

Yeah, it's not exactly a top-of-the-shelf title, but really worth seeking out.

How's the weather where you are?

Some days around here have been comfortable. It may have been warm out, but usually there was a nice breeze, or the humidity wasn't so rough. Today is fry an egg on the sidewalk day.

What DVDs would you want for 2008?

Oh yeah, I forgot that the Muppets lyp-synched to records on Sam & Friends. I suppose it would be a nightmare trying to get the rights to all the songs.

    Best Movie Ever!

Cool! Another Phantom fan! All right!:) Blow Out IS available on DVD from MGM. It's a bare-bones release, like Phantom :smirk: but is definitely worth seeing! In France there's a 2-disc SE of Phantom, as well as a box set of rare, early De Palma short films, including the feature film...

What DVDs would you want for 2008?

I agree with those who want Sam & Friends. That would be a cool DVD release. I'd also like to see the Wilkins Coffee commercials. That would be neat if they were included on a Sam & Friends DVD.
