    Here's something I can't stand (re:Porky pig)

Slightly off-topic, but in the same ballpark... In their films of the 1930s and 1940s, Oliver Hardy would often utter his famous catchphrase to Stan Laurel, "well, here's another nice mess you've gotten me into." For years, authors have sometimes misquoted Ollie in studies of the team's...

The Insult is TOO Great! (PLEASE don't edit this title)

Hmmm...why not a "That 70s Show" feature? Then Erik Estrada can return the compliment, and play Fez!:p

The Insult is TOO Great! (PLEASE don't edit this title)

There's also a CHIPS movie rumored, with Fez from "That 70s show" as Ponch.

Yes, Steve Carrell appears briefly as Uncle Arthur, towards the end of the film. He does a good Paul Lynde impression. I'm no fan of Cook either, although he was pretty good in a "straight" role in the Kevin Costner thriller Mr. Brooks.

Yeah, I miss the original crew of Stewart's Daily Show. Especially Carrell. BTW, Vance DeGeneris was the original "Mr. Hands" in the very early Mr. Bill films that were shown on SNL. He is also the brother of Ellen.

    Robert Morse

The Morse/Vallee segment of Night Gallery is called "Marmalade Wine." It features only the two actors, in a spare setting, which almost looks theatrical, in terms of architecture and sets. Morse is a braggart and Vallee is a sinister doctor. There's nice humor between the two throughout the...

    Robert Morse

Wow, thanks for the extra info, Kim! I'm sure Robert did an excellent Capote...I'll have to track down the PBS version. Interesting about Wicked...Joel Grey is phenomenal, but it would be interesting to see Morse as the Wizard.

True. I could see him as Gilligan.

The Insult is TOO Great! (PLEASE don't edit this title)

Yeah, that must have been around the time the Gilligan's movie was announced...around the time of The Flintstones. Who would they get for Gilligan today? Dane Cook?

The Insult is TOO Great! (PLEASE don't edit this title)

I'm really surprised Gilligan's Island hasn't been turned into a feature yet. Sherwood Schwartz has been talking about a proposed big-screen adaptation for years. At one time, it was rumored that Rick Moranis would play Gilligan, and John Goodman would be the Skipper.

    Robert Morse

Thanks, Brian!:) I have heard of "Sugar," but I didn't know that Robert Morse was in it! I'm sure he was great in the Lemmon role. Before "How to Succeed," he was in the Broadway play, "The Matchmaker," which was the basis for the musical "Hello Dolly!"

    What are your non-muppet obsessions?

Cool! Yes, I am familiar with Commedia dell'Arte, but have yet to participate in one. I'd also like to try Gilbert & Sullivan sometime. Again, never had the opportunity...yet!

    What are your non-muppet obsessions?

Ooh, The Dead Zone is a goodie! It's one of my top 5 favorite Stephen King novels, which are, in no particular order, The Dead Zone, The Green Mile, The Shining, The Stand and The Dark Half.
