Kim: Thanks, Robin. I really appreciate it. Okay, we'll see you tomorrow. Bye-bye. [hangs up the phone]
Boober: Who was that?
Kim: Robin. I was telling Kathy earlier about how Lily was afraid to go to school, and she suggested that maybe she could walk to school with Robin for a few days...
Down in Apt 6...
Lily: [knocking on the door to Kim's bedroom] Kim?
Kim: [opens the door] Lils? What're you doing up, kiddo?
Lily: I don't feel good. [coughs feebly] I don't think I can go to school tomorrow.
Kim: I see. [feels Lily's forehead] Well, you don't seem to have a fever.
Lily: Are...
Say, does anyone have a copy of the Muppet Babies album "Rocket to the Stars" handy? The songs in the version I have cut off in weird places, like the tracks were ripped weird.
Gillis: You're watching television...with the sound off...while listening to MCR?
Kim: It's called "multi-tasking", Maestro. Besides, I think I'm falling out of love with "Elementary".
Gillis: But it's Sherlock Holmes! I thought you loved Sherlock Holmes!
Kim: I do. I just don't think I'm...
#3 is probably the one I'm thinking of. It certainly doesn't help that MC Radio names the tracks differently!
And speaking of songs, got a little surprise heading your way Ed ;)
No, I've got the originals. What I'm looking for is a medley of One More Sleep and Feels Like Christmas. It was sung by Kermit, Piggy, Gonzo, Rizzo, Fozzie, Bunsen and Beaker. I've heard it run on MC Radio a few times during the Christmas season.
I'll double-check when I get home. I'm pretty sure that I have "There's A Promise", but I think it's the version without Doc on it.
Okay, they're sent Ed!
EDIT: And while I'm at it, I'll throw up my wishlist:
It Feels Like Christmas:
One More Sleep 'Til Christmas/It Feels Like Christmas...
To paraphrase Frank Burns of MASH, this whole thing just tightens my colon. I'm sad to see Kevin go, especially like this. I hope that the first accuser is happy now because he has essentially ruined a man's name and reputation by accusing Kevin of something he didn't do and, as we have now...
Kim: [watching Youtube] Boober!
Boober: [walking by with a basket of laundry, tosses it into the air in surprise] Aahh! What?!
Kim: Why'd you never tell me you and the others made a music video with Ben Folds Five?
Tosh: Boober did what now?
Gillis: Made a what with who?
Kim: Here, take a look...
Kim: Decisions, decisions...
Gillis: About what?
Kim: What to get when I upgrade my cellphone. I'm torn between an iPhone 4 or an LG smartphone of some sort.
Gillis: I thought you didn't want an iPhone.
Kim: [sheepishly] Yeah...but that was before I played with one a little bit at the store...
Ain't it just the way it goes?
You pull the petals off the rose.
We never say hello to stay,
We always say goodbye.
We always say goodbye...
And ain't it just the way it seems?
We pull the petals off our dreams.
Our hearts can say we're here to stay,
But we always say goodbye.
We always say...
[In Apartment 6 the residents are all huddled on the couch in a group hug; Lily is sitting in Kim's lap while the Fraggles and Beast are gathered around her.]
Kim: Betcha Christine was right there at the gates to greet him.
Gillis: Yes. And Richard and Jim were right behind her.
Boober...
Kim: Okay gang, shopping trip tomorrow afternoon when I get home from work. Who's going?
Boober: [warily] What kind of shopping trip?
Lily: School shopping. I need supplies and stuff.
Boober: Pass.
Tosh: I've got to gather moss with Mimzy in the rock tomorrow.
Gillis: I'll go. I need some...
Kim: Don't worry, Ed, we know. It just takes some of us longer to get ready than others. [looks pointedly at her flatmates]
Boober: You'll thank me when we're not all sunburned.
Kim: [dryly] I'm sure we will, Boober.
-Kim
Kim: [walking into the apartment] Hey, guys. Anybody needs me, I'll be in my room.
[goes into her room]
Lily: Wow. Kim's really down, isn't she?
Boober: No kidding. This is worse than last time.
Lily: Last time?
Gillis: About seven years ago, before your time, Kim's other grandma passed away...
