There have been three major muppet video series released, all of which are out of print:
*The Muppet Show compilations from Playhouse video
*Jim Hensons Play-Along Video
*Muppet Sing-Alongs
out of those videos, which one do you most want to see re-released?
i would like for them to...
Did the encounter between Piggy and Fozzie occur in the linking footage or in a segment from the show? Because if it was something made after the first season, Richard Hunt wouldn't have performed Piggys voice.
I remember seeing a song on Sesame Street, possibly in the late 1980s, in which bruno was actually singing. This song took place in front of the building where the fix-it shop and hoopers store are located.
In this song, Bruno appeared without oscar, but he was still holding a trash can. The...
Of course, even though Grover has been coming back in a big way, Grover hasn't been the focus of very many recent street plots. I wonder if he will eventually star in an episode later this season. Or I wonder if Eric Jacopson has been busy performing his Muppet characters in various productions...
Muppets From Space and The Adventures Of Elmo In Grouchland were both released in theatres in 1999, a few months apart from each other. Does anybody know if these were both filmed around the same time?
My reason for thinking this is because of the puppeteers. Kermit didn't appear in Elmo In...
chapter 9
Dr. Teeth and the electric mayhem were busy every once in awhile. When the muppet show began, all muppets signed a contract that stated that companies didn't need permission from the individual muppets to be merchandised. Only the owner of the theatre needed to give permission...
different sketch
This is not the "her fishy, fishy, fishy" sketch. In the one i'm talking about, Ernie doens't catch fish by calling them. He just has better luck than Bert. Fish do not fly into the boat. Ernie keeps trying to let Bert catch some fish by not using bait and then by not...
pack-ins?
I think that the small pink honker is the only honker that could be a pack-in. The honkers look close to the same size as an average muppet. Just because articulation if limited doens't mean they have to be a pack-in. I do wonder if two normal-sized honkers could fit together. Of...
I have seen some comments in a few recent Sesame Street articles at Tough Pigs where danny Horn mentioned that grover is starting to make a major comeback on Sesame Street. This is especially mentione din his review of A celebration of me, grover.
Henson
I think that the Jim Henson company still owns the rights to the characters. I don't know if NBC would need permission from Henson to release a collection. It would be weird to release these segments on video without calling the collection The best of the Muppets on SNL (the muppet name...
I have noticed a bit of irony of Elmo being popular. Maybe irony is not the correct term to use. I don't know.
Anyway, Elmo has been really popular since Tickle me Elmo was made in 1996. He was popular before, but not this popular. he did star in a few videos, including Elmos Sing-Along...
another minor error
The script for the banana sketch lists it as "The banana Sketch Part 1", but "part 2" is not listed, unless you count the fact that it is discribed in the introduction section.
I am not sure if The Flying Sheep is still reading this, but in your first post, you keep saying that there were five performers when you obviosuly mean six. Jim is one, Frank is 2, Dave is 3, Richard is 4, John is 5, and Eren is 6.
In the guides section, in the section for the original...
nevermind... maybe
Well, I have now seen every first season epsiode. John Lovelady did use the same voice for crazy harry as he did in the valentine pilot, but in the harvey korman episode, it sounds like he was performed by Jerry Nelson.
Does anybody know why he was performed by Jerry...
Maybe Henson will donate something rare to the museum at this event (if they are allowed to), like the original version of the Connie Stevens episode of The Muppet Show (before it was reworked and re-edited), the Cinderella pilot, or even something that not even us fans know about.
I know that Steve Whitmires first performance as Ernie was in the sesame street new years special (although in the Muppet central interview Steve said that he was chosen to take over as Ernie when it was decided to make some talking Ernie toys), but I would like to know if this was the first...
How would you want figures of the Honkers to be released?
Would you want them in the regular line, possibly taking up spots that could be given to more distinct characters, especially if more than one honker gets made and all in seperate packaging?
Would you want a multi-pack of Honkers...
