3 weeks
I was just watching todays hurricane episode, and I noticed something interesting in Big Birds conversation with Granny. Granny told Big Bird that it would take her three weeks to fly to Sesame Street (and Big Bird was surprised when he heard how long it would take). In Follow That...
On the Songs From The Street album, the song Doin' The Pigeon, the song opens with this line:
"Every time when I'm feel alone and slightly blue,
That's when I begin to think that's what i'd like start to do,
and even though it may not be your cup of tea, I reccommend this little dance...
I barely remember this. For some reason I am thinking that Frank Oz performed the geefle and Jerry Nelson performed the Gonk, even though I haven't seen this since before I knew that the muppets were really puppets (and before I knew about the various puppeteers). Am I right about the performers?
Maybe it would be good if a show was done where old, forgotten muppet characters audition for a second chance as a major character. George, Hilda, Seymour, Nigel The Conductor, Nigel The Director, Digit, Leon, wayne, Wanda, and Mildred could all audition. Uncle Deadley and Lips would also be...
Even though some new characters have been built to compete to be americas next muppet, I still hope that they all get to appear in future productions. The Jim Henson Hour only had a small number of new characters who were used regularly in other productions, and Muppets Tonight had more who...
Who did David Rudman perform a very brief cameo of?
As for Jerry Nelson not performing the two-headed monster anymore, he had already stopped performing that monster in either 1999 or 2000, and he was still an active performer at the time. And obviously, he isn't performing Snuffy anymore...
inkspots
I think that the creatures you are referring to are known as The Inkspots. They were created for Fraggle Rock and have appeared in various henson productions since then, including The Jim Henson Hour (I think) and the Kokomo music video.
I have read that an episode of Welcome back, Kotter, tiled Close Encounters of the carvelli Kind, was directed by Robert Heyges, who also played Epstein, but since the show was video taped instead of filmed, he had to spend the entire episode in a controll room and couldn't act in that episode...
Before the Muppets became famous, Kermit was a common name. I have read that Jim Henson did have a friend named Kermit, but some sources have said that Kermit The Frog wasn't named after Jims friend while other sources say that he was named after a childhood friend.
Oh, and Kermit The Frog...
It's possible that Jerry Nelson either wasn't availible o perform in that episode or wasn't in any condition to perform. Karen Prell mentioned in her interview on Muppet Central that there was an episode where she only did the voice of red for some reason, I can't remember why (it could be...
my faves?
My favorite skits are Mahna Mahna, String Quartet, Arthur Godfrey as Santa Clause, The Computer Dinner, Girl Meets Monster, Buisness Buisness, Inchworm, and Scryap Flyap.
I haven't seen this, but as far as I know, this video doesn't have any classic Grover and fat Blue scenes. They only appear in the linking footage.
This video was released in 1999, before Eric Jacopson started performing Grover, so Frank Oz performed Grover in this, and Jerry Nelson, who was...
a test run?
If Sesame Workshop actually considered this idea, I wonder if it would be good for a test market version. Maybe released exclusively to video stores and have a limited run in retail stores like KMART, target, wal-mart, and toys R us, and see how successful those are.
The four...
How will this disapoint the folks at Save The Muppets? I thought that site was made so that the performers would still perform their characters.
It's funny how Jim referred to Eric jacopson as the talented young puppeteer who currently performs Frank Oz's old characters. I thought he was...
If you are wondering about who I would have as the performers of some of the characters, then...
Green Hunchback Frackle would be performed by Dave Goelz.
Boppity would be performed by Richard Hunt.
Behemoth would be performed by Jerry Nelson.
Doglion would be performed by Jim Henson...
If a person acts and directs in the same production, is it normally hard to do both or is it often easy? If you were directing yourself in a movie or tv production, would it be very difficult to make sure that everything went the way you wanted it to go?
Having asked this, I think that it is...
It's been awhile since I last wrote an outline. Anyway, this outline takes place in the second season.
Cold opening/ Dressing Room
Scooter tells Don Adams that there are thirty seconds untill curtain, and that he has a phone call. Don adams talks into his shoe.
