I was hoping that you (or somebody) would write a review of Quiet Time. It sounds like it is worth seeing for the sketches. I knew that it included In The Quiet of The Evening, but didn't realize that it has Naptime. Too bad I can't find a copy of it in any of my local stores anymore.
Do you know why the special was cut before it was remastered? Was it edited this way when shown on The Oddessey Channel and remastered (although the Columbia release was available before The Oddessey Channel was owned by henson)? Why would they have edited the final Kermit scene on the original...
Here's a little small "joke" that people may have missed (although nobody has commented so it's hard to tell).
At the beginning I had an instrumental version of Don't Blame The Dynamite playing. The third song included was Tenderly.
In Rock Music With The Muppets, an instrumental version...
I have read that Sony Wonder re-released the 1986 video Bedtime Stories and Songs with a different title, Sleepytime Songs and Stories, as well as with a few differences. I have read that some segments were replaced and that it included a somewhat different version of Everybody Sleeps. What...
In the episode where Slimy comes back from the moon, at the end, Oscar gets Slimey ready for bed. Oscar says, "I missed you, Slimey", and Slimey says "I missed you, too". Oscar then asked Slimey what he wanted to do tomorrow, and Slimey said, "I want to go to mars".
Slimey also makes a lot...
I think that both Elmo's World: Happy Holidays and Elmos World: Wild Wild West are at least 40 minutes long, if not longer. I haven't seen Elmo's World: Happy Holidays so I don't know the exact lenght of time.
I have noticed that the first two episodes of The Muppet Show seemed to have some sort of structure. Was the show meant to have a set order of how the show was run? It does seem a bit odd that there would be a structure in the first two episodes since they were refilmed after later first season...
Here is information about The Best of Elmo.
year: 1994.
plot: Elmo has made a lot of drawings, and plans on including one in the monster art show. He shows the pictures to Maria to see which one she likes best. She likes a picture of Elmo and Ernie the best, so Elmo let's her keep it...
You must also remember that the figures made by Palisades are not based on any one specific puppet. This is because the characters have had a lot of changes and Palisades has several reference photos of each character.
Are there any figures that you think should have been made that would have been mostly repainted, without very little-to-no resculpting done? Things that could have been a 1-per-case repaint, a give away, or an exclusive? Here's what I think could have been doen for the muppets line:
*Scooter...
I also really liked The Street We Live On, The Best of Elmo, Elmos Sing-Along Guessing Game, and Cinderelmo. I didn't think that Elmos World: Wild Wild West or Elmosize were very good (but I wasn't expecting them to be too good, either).
Martin P. Robison performs Slimey. The first time I heard Slimey speak was in the episode where Slimey returned from the moon. He might have spoken before that, but I don't know for sure.
In 1985, Golden Book Home Video released two Sesame Street videos with various Sesame Street storybooks...
Yes, he only sang it on Sesame Street. He never sang it on The Muppet Show. It was included on an album called Jim Henson's Sesame Street celebration, where the song had a 1987 copyright, meaning that it was written long after The Muppet Show ended. Kermit sang the song with three kids, voiced...
The monster with sharp teeth who looked like Cookie Monster was also dark green (I didn't know this untill I watched his appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show; All photos I saw prior to this were in black and white). The commercial he was in was for IBM. According to Sesame Street Unpaved, this...
Here are some of Statler and Waldorfs lines:
Johnny Fiama: hey, Bitterman, these two men stopped buying drinks for the girls an hour ago.
Rachel Bitterman: Is this true?
Statler: We've been buying all night.
Waldorf: Yeah, we're going broke!
Pepe: Don't get me steamed, okay...
