Sam Plenty...
Now, while I wasn't sure about his appearence in "Sam Plenty and the Runaway Lemons", was uneasy about his acting in "Sam Plenty Follows Fivel's Good Idea and Goes West...or Sort of North-Westrly," and "Sam Plenty Sits on the Porch and Sings", I completly adore this new series...
Love the point you made, BeaSquee, that Gonzo has always been devoted to her! I suppose the argument could be given that Piggy needs someone who doesn't need her though?
Mind you, its not as if Gonzo would just give in to her every wish...he's can be very original with his art.
One thing that I should mention before the thread goes off, though, is that the main thoughts related to the Gonziggy relationship is that in a Gonziggy world, Kermit doesn't exist.
Of course, it will always be Kermit and Piggy...I for one am one of their biggest supporters.
...but what...
please please note that the show includes crudity, strong language, and rude things...so don't go there if you don't wanna hear it. :)
Great Animal shirt though!
Father: *sitting up* Vic. I knew it. Vic is the key to all this. It was Vic that the Yak first kidnapped, and now the Gold-haired Lepricorn...I knew there had to be a connection! *gets back into car, realises it's smashed, and pulls a bicycle out the boot to ride isntead* *to camera* Not just a...
It started with Mummenschanz...first aired on January the Ninth, 1977...
...the episode in which Gonzo first unveiled his carefully concealed desire for a closely connected diva...
And it was apparently called off when Gonzo transfered his affections to Madeline Kahn, and later Camilla...
I think I see both sides...
Yes, Muppets From Space was kinda selling out. Everyone was releaseing Space movies that year from SpaceJam to Star Wars (I think?) and Muppets sort of joined the wave...But they did have a story to tell.
Yes, Muppets Take Manhatten was about not changing...but...
So I tuned in to late-ish-night comedy here in the UK, to watch Friday Night Project with Alan Carr, Jason Donnovan and last nights guest host David Tennant (Well...sort of tuned in, sort of just stuck around after Dirty Sexy Money had finished...but that's another story.)
Anyway! Jason...
Well...I think it's high time this got a Bump, and some new questions! (Hope these haven't been asked before...Dwayne, would you check the archieves? :p)
Do you have an opinion on Penguins? Can they talk ('Well, Excuse us for liiiiiiiiiving' Muppets Take Manhatten) or can they merely quack...
Tsk tsk...We have twelve episodes on dvd! Yay!
...Although I must admit I prefer the American Doc to the Captain, so if they were reelased over here I'd want an option of one or the other...
I agree.
I used to play a role-play character called Father Moppet who was a 'proper' British father, who used to try and be cool. And it would be hilarious if he said that, or tried rapping. I think Kermit tries to be cool, much the way that any other comic his age does, almost to poke at...
We don't have any plot details yet, but we have had a number of interviews saying that the old school feeling will indeed be back!
(Also, have you seen It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas? That was a tv movie with the Muppets after Muppets From Space, and was fantastic, in my opinion.)
Mrs Moppet Senior: *smiles a smile* I think I need to get out of this bathrobe...and then I have something of a mission for the two of you. Come with me, if you dare.
--
Father: *dazed* Vic?...Vic's kidnapped the Yak again...*wobbles* Victor...Put your sister down...*collapses on the road*...
Obviosuly my first convern is, "Will they rebuild Beau for a background character?" But he was in VMC not that long ago, so maybe he's still around...
And that's a ridiculously selfish little concern anyway.
