I forgot about that one. And I am aware of another sogn with Forgetful Jones, Write it Down, though I don't think he actually sang in the number (it was sung by Maria, Luis, and Gordon to Forgetful). But that isn't really a country number. It's more of a vaudville number, and takes place on the...
Since some fans have black and white copies of episode 179, it would be great if that episode was included on the next Old School set, so that we can have a color copy of it.
I recently saw a documentary on Star Wars where George Lucas said that he wanted the three-year wait between Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back to be worth it. I hope that this two-year wait is worth it.
I hope that the main menu features somebody other than Statler and Waldorf. Maybe...
Since Johnny Cash is on this DVD, I guess it will feature segments from the show (unless the DVD was actually produced before Johnny Cash's death and held back from being announced until now). I know that Johnny Cash appeared in at least two segments. Since Nasty Dan was just recently included...
I've read that there are plans for a new DVD titled Ready for School, but it doens't appear to be a retitled re-release. Elmo appears on the cover, and it sounds to me like he didn't appear in the video. Baby Bear is also on the cover, and he wasn't even around yet. The only way that could be a...
What if we could compile a 30 minute mixed tape to prove that The Muppet Show was not just for kids? It could include:
*Welcome to my Nightmare
*Someone Just Like You
*Baby, It's Cold Outside
*Nice Girl Like Me
*You're Always Welcome at Our House
*Smoke Gets in Your Eyes
*School's...
I find it strange that the video has more human cast members credited than who actually appear in the video, especially Olivia. This and I'm Glad I'm Me are the only 190s My Sesame Street Home Video releases I haven't seen, and none of the other releases credit more humans than needed. Heck...
There was a thread like this, long ago. But my collection has expanded since this.
Here is a listing of videos and DVDs I have. I don't usually like to comment on what I have tapped from TV, so I won't list those. And I don't do trades.
Muppet videos:
It's the Muppets: Meet the Muppets...
For those who have seen the trailer, what clips are included? If it's like the first season trailer, then I guess it doesn't show any clips with guest stars, and probably doesn't have many clips from music numbers.
I think that I would pick the Raquel Welch epsiode. A close second would be the Rudolph Nureyev episode. That episode is a bit too mature for me. Maybe also the Harry Belafonte episode.
It's a shame that the e-mail response didn't say which seasons would be represented. I'm sure that Sesame Workshop probably knows which epsidoes are going to be included by now (how much time would it take between now and it's release, sometime between august and october, to get all legal...
Here is how I would picture Hot Fuzz to look: He would look like the monster from The Beast of the Week sketch from the Don Knotts episode of The Muppet Show, only red or orange (to make him look like a ball of fire) and fuzzier.
Great review! If Roosevelt Franklin sketches were still being shown at the time that this video was released, I wonder if it would have included any Roosevelt Franklin Elementary School sketches (of course, since the video features so much focus on the alphabet, Roosevelt Franklin's Alphabet...
I may have said this before, but if this set represents the first five years, I hope that it includes either one of the test pilots, This Way to Sesame Street (the NBC promotion special that aired two days before the series officially premiered), or Out to Lunch as bonus features. If it...
I had a rubber duckie, which looked like Ernie's (I don't know if Sesame Workshop and The Jim Henson Company ever approved of any official Rubber Duckie toys that resembled Ernie's). But I didn't sing the song with it.
I wonder if the "timeline" process between now and the date of release will be similar to how the "timeline" was for the first set.
Here is the time line for news of the first set(going by memory):
November 2005: somebody gets an e-mail from Sesame Workshop that confirms that Sesame...
