Is it just me or is this video surprisingly basic for such an iconic song
To me, "Semi-Charmed Life" is the hook of the '90s... this is probably the riff of the '80s.
I can see why you say that. I can hear a bit of Genesis, Toto and Steely Dan in there. It's no "Summer Breeze", but it's a great song. When I hear early-'70s soft rock like that I seem to equate it with early-'70s Sesame Street... it just radiates that vibe.
Here's the video:
The dude didn't even at all sound like Santa... I thought that was someone off-camera lol.
Mall Santa like:
The only thing I can think of is if he didn't know what a Nerf gun is.
And then the kid had to turn around and smile for the picture lmaoooooooooo. At least I got...
God, that song makes me so envious I wasn't alive in the '70s... here's another classic chart-topper from the same year:
Just so much **** innocence. :sigh: I don't know much about the Starland Vocal Band, but I'm assuming they fell off the face of the Earth after this hit lol. My favorite...
After raving about Todd Rundgren in the top 10 thread, I might as well throw something in:
So many songs with him where I say "How was this not a hit?" (then again I've been hearing these songs my whole life)... like you think I might've heard this song at least once on classic rock radio...
Man, that falsetto puts Leo Sayer to shame... I didn't know Elmo was in the Four Seasons.
Might as well throw my contribution in since this is such a great tune:
