I was watching the Popcorn sketch with him from The Muppets Youtube channel earlier with my younger brothers and the performance is just GREAT! Good to know he's still creating culinary catastrophes. :hungry:

I actually think you can be arrested for playing musical instruments in public without a license. I think the humour is derived from the fact that obviously back on the Robin Hood days no one would have bothered with licences for lutes.

Agreed!!! People almost never mention it. But I get all sorts of lines stuck there. I once had the word, "Mobile" said in an American fake-British voice from Friends stuck there for weeks!

Its not a Muppet, but it is said. "Help. Help. This is a serious cry for help." This line used to really annoy me as a kid, because he didn't sound at all worried about being lost in the swamp, but watching it as a grown up the completely dead-pan delivery of that cry for help is really fun...

That's such an interesting point about the first season of the Muppet Show being less about Gonzo (I've read interviews where Dave suggests he didn't really 'get' Gonzo's character until season 2 anyway) so I suppose it makes sense for something more nostalgic to focus less on his character...
