    Henson sells Muppets to Disney

YUCK! This isn't what I wanted for my bday either. And now there won't ever be a Muppetfest2  .

Comcast makes $54 billion hostile bid to buy Disney

If Comcast gets Disney, I'd like to change my poll vote. I don't think the Muppets could benefit from something that large. But, I must admit, I'm passionately against media conglomeration to begin with. I just think the Muppets would get lost or be of no importance to such a megacorp...

    MuppetFest 2?

You get a water cooler!?! I'm not even allowed to bring bottled water into my work. Y'all have it easy. As for Muppet Fest - I BELIEVE! I BELIEVE! and i think if they did just a bit more advertising this time around it would be VERY popular. Maybe they could have it in NYC at the same...

Muppets resurgence at Disney's California Adventure

It appears to me that a distribution deal for the Muppets through Disney could be great. However, I don't think anything beyond that is a good idea. They need their independence to create.

    Oz Casting News

I like Pepe for the Toto role - I think he'll make the other Muppets seem more believable as the Oz characters in comparison. I looking forward to this production, but I would like to see another original Muppet series on TV, too. I'll take all the Muppets I can get! :excited: My...

    It's a bird! It's a plane! It's - Bert?!

What sick, twisted fun - I loved it! But the fireys would say "You can only throw your own head!" :)

    One of those days...

You should be thankful that the car wreck didn't happen on the date! one of my friends had a fantastic first date with a girl and spun out on the interstate on the way home. She didn't call him again. I think she took it as a sign from God. I'm very glad you're OK. :)

Fan Fiction: Hurricane on Sesame Street

Yeah, they did have a hurricane. It was the episode that Biography for Kids filmed. Big Bird's nest gets destroyed, and Sesame Stree comes together to clean up the mess. I don't think a flood would be a good disaster to use. Coming from the land of hurricanes and floods (sunny FL), winds...

Very Merry Muppet Christmas reairs on NBC December 6th

I have to disagree with most of what's been said in this forum. I LOVE VMC, and will be watching it for many years to come. Bear with me while I summarize my responses to what's been said... I think it was more adult than most Muppet shows, and I'm OK with that. Its not surprising...

    Target List!

If you can't find it, come to FL. That's the ONLY figure Target has. I need others! More, more, I'm still not satisfied!

    Scotland meets Kentucky!

I'm not the only one who eats PB and Maple Syrup on pancakes?! YAY! If we need to have our arteries roto-rooted around the same time, maybe we can be in the same semi-private room. At least I know you'll want to watch the same videos! :) We always have cheese grits, bacon and Creme...

Favorite Special Feature on Very Merry Muppet Christmas DVD

Was 'cookie' the right term? My hubby said I confused my confections; its Easter Eggs. (Yes, I do teach at a technology school!) It seems like I've found them all then. I was sort of hoping there'd be more. What did y'all think about the special clip of Pepe's escape? I realized my...

Favorite Special Feature on Very Merry Muppet Christmas DVD

What's everybody's favorite special feature on the VMC DVD? I've just gotten the time to sit down and watch it all. Mine is the set of cuts from Moulin Scrooge. I also loved the cookie of the deleted scene from heaven. Anybody have a list of cookies from the DVD?

    What's your claim to fame?

I'm not famous for anything, but I have a VERY minor responsibility for the general decline in quality entertainment in the US today. I was one of the founding members of the Washing Well Wenches that do Ren Faires around the country. I've therefore been in local papers around the country...

    Scotland meets Kentucky!

As a Southerner, I still want to hear about grits. Have they been eaten? Were they liked? Has anyone been asked to kiss them yet?

    The most tear-jerking Muppet moment...

We played the song "The first time it happens" at our wedding for the processional as I walked down the aisle. That song always chokes me up. The ideas of knowing more than you can show, of bring able to love again...sniff.

    Clueless Morgan Appreciation Thread

I love Clueless Morgan! I wonder what it would be like if he ever drove with Beauregard.

Does Animal care most about his friends or himself?

I always thought of the leash as a physical component of his relationship to the band and the normal (for the Muppets anyway) world. It only seemed to come into play in the series when he was doing something particularly extreme and the group had to calm him down. (I'm willing to admit I could...
