Watching this, it looks like the Moopets end up replacing Fozzie with a Fozzie look-alike. We never see them at the same time, but it's clear they're both there in the same room in the same scene. I was confused by the ear's deep-voiced "wocka wocka" line. Though I forgot about seeing a...
By the titles of some of the movie dialogue tracks, I have to wonder why some have to be seperate tracks, since some of them seem like they'd come right before (or after) the next (or last) music number.
The Muppet Movie soundtrack had some dialogue from the film between some of the songs, and...
Weird Al is the only one of those you mentioned that I do like, and I pretty much hate the rest, though I'm not sure if I should hate Glee. I've only watched a little of it, but then again, I chose to blindly hate the others (when I first heard of Justin Bieber, I decided to listen to one of his...
Without naming any names, does the book mention any obscure characters by name who don't have any big parts in the movie? It'd be interesting if it did name anyone we wouldn't expect to be mention (and clue in to if they have some role other than being there).
By "obscure", I mean none of the...
When I heard Wayne and Wanda get dialogue, I figured maybe they'd sing a song that'd end early. But the track listing for the soudntrack has been announced and there's no Wayne and Wanda track, so I guess their dialogue comes in some other way (unless they do get a song and it just doesn't...
I've heard about Frank putting his hand on the right-hand performers hands so they wouldn't gesture too much. Though I don't know of many segments where it's obvious his character's holding onto the left hand (I think I've noticed it in a few Harvey Kneeslapper segments).
I wonder if that...
Somehow I think she didn't perform as much as the other main performers during the early years. In Street Gang I think it's said that Fran worked on the show two weeks a season in the early years and continued focusing on her acting career. I noticed that while she was credited her first season...
I have recently been wondering if this album was still in print. I guess the original version would be out-of-print now and replaced with this one.
I feel the Anthony Bocelli track would be out-of-place since it's the only track with a celebrity guest (though it originated in an album where...
In the interview with Caroll Spinney on the Follow That Bird anniversary DVD, he mentioned a time in the first season when he performed an Anything Muppet in a song, and kept having trouble with the lip-synch. He said that during a break Jim Henson watched the performance, referred to it as...
I rememer a long time ago Earl Kress made a post somewhere on this forum saying that voice performers got paid the same for up to two roles. Though at the same time it does seem odd considering that in the first season Caroll Spinney supposedly got paid 200 dollars a week instead of by show...
It's said that Sam's speech on nudity is presented without the "I need a robe" line. That line's only included in the audio version. On the show he merely walks off-stage looking embarrassed (which we can't really see in audio-only form). In The Muppet Show Book he has the added line "I am a bird".
I think the "Muppet Barbershop Quartet" singing Smells Like Nirvanna sounds intriguing. I can't wait to see who is in the quartet (some of the most famailair characters? Generic whatnots/pigs/whatever? Hard-to-understand characters like Beaker?).
I thought I read somewhere that Kermit would sing this song in the movie. Maybe it's sung twice and only one appears on the album?
Weird Al isn't a no-talent clown. But I doubt he'd do a cover of a serious song (a parody, sure, but not a cover).
It's an original song for the movie. And according to track listings (I didn't click on the link you provided, so I'm not sure if I saw that one, but I saw other track listings) it's a song sung by Mary and Miss Piggy.
I thought I read that the movie would have new versions of many songs from...
I previously thought Kermit's "I believe in you" speech would come closer to the end, but after watching this, it looks like it might happen before the telethon, perhaps even before they can secure a deal to air the telethon.
I previously saw a Moopets production t-shirt which depicted a live...
I agree. It would have been great to have seen Zoot play his saxaphone or Lips blow his trumpet, if not the whole Electric Mayhem doing a concert inside the theater. Or they could have had Crazy Harry set off an explosion. Or Bunsen and Beaker do an experiment in the theater.
And considering...
