I've used that. Boy is it smelly! You should definetly get a ventilated space to use that. Also no lie, it does work Fast like it says on the bottle. Also as a tip, if you're going to use it to glue onto a flexible part say live hands DON'T it gets TOO stiff to move.
Also MuppetCast is a Fan website, just like this one. Any Copyrighted music is allowed to be played/featured so long as the clip is ONLY 30 seconds long. So MuppetCast doesn't really fit into this debate....in my opinon
Wow, Thanks. I'm really honored with your responses!
You know, $2,060 is a looks like a really nice number to charge, for me this was really the first time I priced a puppet for someone else, and I used Andrews Puppet Pricing Calculator, which was A Lot of help, but I don't have to pay bills...
Wow! Thanks guys!
It does feel great to have finished it and followed it through.
It is a large puppet. Its nearly 4ft long and is 2ft wide and 2ft tall.
I got the fur from http://www.mendels.com/fur1.shtml
its called furry shaggy cat or something similar. Its great, it has a very nice stretch...
I've just finished a Hyena Puppet I've been building for the last 6 weeks. Its been great. I've expieremented with New Materials and Techniques I haven't used before. This is a custom build for a fellow who is starting a company and wants a puppet, and asked me to build it for him.
I used a...
Gonzo was kind of sloppy.....I agree....
He kind of sagged. But also swayed around a lot and had trouble giving eye contact....
....but maybe Dave was in a weird position on the floor....
This is an excerpt from the Other Thread from GA Stage. So, if you had read the posts completly. You might have seen this.
"They have found a replacement for me a little sooner than I thought but it's good for them. Her name is Natalie and she will eventually be handling the fleece. If you are...
Yea, thats Great!...I was also wondering how he turned out. The costume is wonderful and he looks like he could (can) acheive great movements. He would probably be fun to puppeteer him as if he had a peg leg.
LOL, Yes I thought it might be you...because I could see similarities. Thanks for building and selling him actually, because he is one of my first puppets AND my first live hand puppet. I'm building a hyena puppet right now with live hands and have been using him as a reference.
I've used him a...
Great review Gordon! I too enjoyed meeting You, Andrew, Spencer and Marty. Gordon, your hospitality and willingness to talk and share your expieriences was amazing and I'm grateful.
Everyone was really Great, fun, and Easy to talk to. It was like a little Puppetry world, being surrounded by...
I agree 400 is a Very small amount for what you are asking, but do you have the time and space to build one yourself. My Puppetry Club and I for our May show built a 8 foor walk around character for around 400 because what we used for the frame was free. We used green plastic strapping that...
Well...I don't think this is the thread to compare Master Replicas.
Number one if you look on the listings it says "please allow a few weeks because these are built to order" So even if you buy one the guy still has to start building and you have to wait. Its not like he has an assembly line...
In my highschool I run a Puppetry Club that meets after school and does one performance a year. We build all the puppets for the show as well as the set pieces thoughout the year. Really the sets are built a week before the show.
Our show costs around 1,200 to produce because of materials and...
Oh!...Thats not so bad. The way you were describing it I thought it was going to be terrible and ugly,
But its Not....I was pleasently suprised! phew...
