Sorry....but there isn't really a stronger fur (well there is) But I mean to say that there are diffrent techniques to cutting fur.
Such as
-Don't use scissors
-Cut from the back with an X-Acto knife or blade.
That should help with the shedding.
I....disagree TheCreatureWork, starting with the mouth is fine, but sometimes it's hard to get the head shape to fit to the mouthplate. Personally, I make the head first, and then make the mouth to fit.
Thanks, Yea......the real guy has 5 o clock shadow like that....the puppet is sorta half caricature, half original.
The eyes are actually pretty easy. I just used the tops from roll on deoderants like this...
Hi!
So, I Just finished my Last puppet of the summer, and I call it that because Tomarrow I start school. This puppet I made for my best friend who starts college tomarrow and I made this as his dorm warming present. I made it small so it could fit with the college clutter. The puppet is...

It was A Lot of Fun going through the audition with Spencer, Of all the other puppeteers there I felt like the two of us were in sync, It was Great and A lot of fun, I've never had the feeling of being in sync with another...
Well if you're going to use that carved head you can still do it the same way as the fursuits but with fabric.
But do you want to build a diffrent head than the one you already have?
If so, I would recomend using one of the project puppet patterns or this one...

Looks nice, good work.
Did you make two? Because it's listed twice.
Yes, I also like using DAP Weldwood....but I find that when I use it I HAVE to let it air out for a day (sometimes 2) before I can continue working, because it smells a bit like a sewer. BUT it definetly does work and is Great to use.
