Bear arrives on Disney+ The beloved series has been off the air for the past 15 years. Now all four seasons are finally available for a whole new generation.
I think that it could work. It'd get the 24-40 demographic right off the bat - which is who they should aim a 'new Muppet Show' to. Not Children. Not the hip-hop based youth culture.
Watching the new Season Two set - it makes me realize just HOW good the original series was, and how something...
(Okay... here goes)
Hey Jim! Any new tangiable Muppet projects coming? Like a new series? Please let the powers that be know that OLD SCHOOL stylings are IN - and I think that as a fan of pop-culture in general - the post-modern "HAVE to do something NEW NEW NEW" is done - sort of!
Here's a...
Good points. But Jim wasn't around for Muppets Tonight, and let's face it - it wasn't the Muppet Show.
Plus... I think it's possible to 'avoid re-hashing' too far. With the Muppets, since JH passed away, 'new' has always meant 'dated and akward'.
I understand the thought of progressing...
Ex-ACT-ly. Or... watch It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie. The best part of that was the fact that they were IN THE MUPPET THEATRE.
We don't need anymore movies. We've got enough. Bring back
THE
MUPPET
SHOW!
PLEASE!
I'm w/ the Jim Henson Hour.
Here's where Marky gets all furry...
Bring back The Muppet SHOW.
It's what people identify with the most, it'd be the easiest thing to pitch, and it would BY FAR generate the biggest buzz. The whole SHOW aspect of the show works so well because it's TIMELESS...
Here you'll find my latest vid from the Festival - Creepy Baby. See, C.B. was feeling a tad heat-strokish and decided to leap off the Balcony and go to town on the town - so to speak.
Steve Swanson - really nice guy - also has a podcast up on his site www.muppetcast.com which touches on the...
What I think the Muppets need, and this may just be a shot in the dark - is some sort of high-profile visual representation involing puppeteers that the general public can 'see'.
(sarcasm... drippity drip)!
They've been pretty sparse choosing which Jim Henson-played characters to bring back. Link wasn't in my top-10, but he was pretty funny. He reminded me of Ted Knight in a messed-up way! LOL!
Awesome! Also, if it isn't sold out yet, Don't forget to get a ticket for Puppet Jam! (The grown-up humor Cabaret where all the acts let loose). It'll be great to met you and all the others who show up! (I'll be on the balcony during the day)
