Top ten Christmas episodes of live action shows:
10. "Merry Christmas, Mr. Bean" (Mr. Bean)
9. "No Room at the Inn" (Newhart)
8. "Guess Who's Comming to Christmas" (Happy Days)
7. "The Lilly Who Stole Christmas" (How I Met Your Mother)
6. "Merry Christmas, Kenan" (Keenan and Kel)
5. "Three's...
At first I thought this whole article was a joke, since Bill Watterson objected to licensing the characters, and especially surprising that Kevin Clash would have been the one to have pitched/been in charge of it. This would have (likely) been the first time Clash pitched a production without...
I've been watching the El Sleezo sequence from The Muppet Movie online, and noticed that when Kermit walks by a table where the waiter is serving frogs legs, one of the people at the table looks like Doc Hopper. Not sure if that's actually him or not, but he's dressed similar, and I thought I...
Hopefully that Disney Intermission feature (assuming it's on this release) won't ruin that. Though I've seen screen grabs from The Muppets blu-ray online, so I guess it's possible.
When I first saw the trailer and thought about the fact that no specific date is on there (just 2013) I wondered if it was official or fan made. Especially since the youtube channel it's associated with sounds more like something a YouTuber would have. But hopefully this is real. Too bad it...
It seems like after the singing telegrams sketch Sesame Workshop didn't make Mr. Johnson his official name until after Muppet Wiki started. He'd often be listed in credits or official reference materials as either "customer" or "Fat Blue" (which is what his Anything Muppet pattern is called...
I google searched her, and I do recognise some of those photos.
Of course, talent is not a requirement for models. The real qualifications to being a model are looking good and the ability to pose for a picture (I'd be surprised if there were many who had trouble posing). Oh, and I guess...
Wow, I've probably seen them all somewhere (I'm not one to be able to name the average model I see in a picture), but I'm still in a blank as to who they are (I could google them). I don't think I've ever even heard of The Soup, and don't watch Modern Family (have I seen Kmart commercials lately?).
Top ten overrated celebrities:
10. Justin Bieber (I'd like to include him at #1, but it seems he's hated by everybody who isn't a 13-18-year-old girl, so that's hardly overrated)
9. Betty White
8. Johnny Depp (I can't believe so many women have referred to him as the hottest man alive...
Top ten songs written for Christmas movies or specials:
10. "Have a Holly Jolly Christmas" (from Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer)
9. the opening song from A Garfield Christmas
8. "Together at Christmas" (from The Christmas Toy)
7. "It Feels Like Christmas" (from The Muppet Christmas Carol)
6...
Not exactly a "little thing", but something obvious that I can't believe I hadn't noticed until tonight (should I start a seperate thread for obvious things we were slow to notice?:) ). But tonight for the first time I actually noticed that each Jazz Numbers segment actually begins with a...
If/when the next volume comes I hope they can get out a few more seasons. I wonder if focusing on just three seasons was to give fans a good idea of what those seasons were like.
But I'm thinking for volume 3, maybe include two episodes each from seasons 2, 6, 11, 16, 21, and 26. That's be...
There's something I just noticed today regarding the segments chosen to replace segments that couldn't be cleared, and I'm surprised I hadn't noticed this sooner. On the previous sets, all of the replacement segments were rare to us. I don't think the original "A Little Bit at the Beginning" is...
Maybe it's lighting?
Back in 2008, I recall reading a Tough Pigs article regarding the filming of Letters to Santa (the writer of the article happened to be at one of the specials filming locations, and was invited to visit the set another day after they learned he was from Tough Pigs), and I...
He talked about it in the Muppet Central interview. It's been a long time since I last read it (maybe I should have read before replying :)), but at the time he had moved somewhere and wanted to be at his new home as much as possible, as opposed to spending a great deal of time away to write for...
I would have thought the next Sesame DVD would be an Elmo the Musical DVD. Surprising that we're getting another Elmo's World DVD (could this be to please all those whiney parents who complained about the segment's departure from the show?).
Another segment that is sort of a holy grail in english is part 3 of the three-part "Bert and Ernie: Banana in Ear" sketch. I don't know of any episodes with part 3, that's the only part that's not on sesamestreet.org, and it seems many fans only remember parts 1 and 2... But part 3 has shown up...
