    Favorite Real-life Films

Teeney Little Super Guy! Yes! That was Teeny Little Super Guy. I loved those. I loved the song too. Other "real life" stuff I liked was of course, the crayon factory, the stamps, and I remember the lost dog poster too. I was so happy that they found their dog. Ace was his name. Anyone...

New Members: Please Post and Introduce Yourself

I've been here for almost 2 weeks now, but I haven't posted on this thread. I introduced myself somewhere, but not here. My favorite show ever is Sesame Street. :grouchy: :( :p I'm 22 years old. When I was little, I pronouced Sesame Street as "cee cee." I don't remember doing that, but...

This animated bit from SS I never really understood...

The only "lesson" I can think of is patience. The cat is not patient. We should be. Or maybe we're supposed to learn not to be oblivious to the needs of others. Whatever, though, because I loved this bit when I was a kid (mid 80's).

    American Idol

I agree. She sounds kinda like Macy Gray. Not that that's a bad thing.

How did you get to Sesame Street?

Hey all, Maybe this has been discussed before, but since I'm pretty new around here, I don't know. But I'm wondering how you watched Sesame Street when you were a kid. Did you watch at a certain time everyday? Did you watch with any certain people? Were there any rituals you followed...

    Favorite Sesame Street Books

I was a book club member until my mom decided it was getting too expensive. Darn that mom! I remember some including: The Sesame Street Pet Show When I'm as Big as Freddie What Do you Do? I still have them all at my parent's house. Also enjoy: Don't Cry Big Bird, Ernie's Big Mess...

The dark day of Valentines Day is upon us...

Yeah Valentines Day sucks! I really hated it in high school. All the popular girls would get called down to the office because they got flowers. Ug! Now I'm married, and I still don't enjoy it. We're way too poor to be spending $ on gifts. I think it sucks that companies make you...

Clips from Let's Make Music and Bert and Ernie's Word Play

Wow! I love that skit! Totally forgot about it til now. :)

    Telly Old and New

Probably because he interacts with newer characters. Baby Bear became his best friend, and he doesn't worry as much as he used to.

Why do people hate the newer SS muppets?

Yeah, I see your point, but somehow when cookie monster does it, it's ok.

Why do people hate the newer SS muppets?

The new characters are ok, except I don't like the ones who don't know how to talk right (namely Elmo and Baby Bear). That's not a good example for kids. I do wish that more of the old characters made appearances on SS. Remember when the muppets used to interact with real people more. And...

    The set of Sesame Street

Someone was wondering what happened to Big Bird's nest area. Remember the hurricane a few years back. Big Bird was devastated because his nest was ruined. Then the fine folks on Sesame Street helped him rebuild it or something.

What Muppets scared you as a child?

Sam! :attitude: :attitude: :attitude: Sam the Eagle scared me some when I was a kid. Don't know why. Also, this guy:  (I think). Is he the guy that played the saxophone? During the end credits of The Muppet Show, he would play a note at the end, and it always bothered me. ceecee

    What are your stories?

Hello Everybodeeeeee! I am a brand new member. I feel a little lost as this is my first such attempt at this sort of thing. I came here because, like so many of you, long for the old Sesame Street. I'm 22 years old (yay!) My name is not really CeeCee. I chose that as my user name...
