He did? Well, he also won the Palm d'Orr at the Cannes Film Festival, which is the highest honor there.
I know this film is very controversial, and I don't want to start any fights, so that's all I'll say on the subject.
My husband and I drove 90 miles each way to see "Farenheit 9/11." That's the closest theater we could find. It was well worth the trip. I've been a fan of Michael Moore since "TV Nation."
This movie may be slanted, but still, facts are facts.
If you're thinking of seeing this movie...
I love Jeopardy! I don't get to watch though. It's on at 4:30 and I work til 5. <sigh>. I've heard about this Ken guy though. That's pretty cool.
Since when did they allow contestants to return for more than 5 days? It used to be that if a person was a 5 day champion, they'd give them a...
The cars were all metal? Because I have a metal Ernie in a bathtub with pink bubbles, and a similar car that has Bert in a "Pigeon Patrol" wagon. I found each of them separately at antique shops. I'm just wondering if they are from the Big Bird Roadway.
My most treasured piece of SS is my...
Ronald Reagan was president when I was born, and he taught me from an early age what a president should be. His death makes me somewhat sad, but when a person dies from Alzeihmer's, I tend to think of it as a blessing.
On a lighter note, I work directly across from my town's post office, and...
Yay! That will be so fun. I have Simpsons Monopoly, and I didn't even know they made Muppets Monopoly. Or Peanuts Monopoly. I like playing the game, but I always lose. :o
Remember this animated game show skit? There were two contestants, a man and a lady, who were asked to eat various food. The man was presented with a plate of food, and the host asked (loudly) "Will he eat it?!" The man was very picky and wouldn't eat anything. The lady was then offered the...
I agree with you there. Or when people say "you look tired," especially when I feel perfectly fine!
Here are some more of my pet peeves:
#1: People who pass you on the right as you're making a left turn on a 2 lane highway. It's illegal and DANGEROUS!
#2: People who talk on cell...
What was the host's name on "Squeal of Fortune"? Remember that one, with the pigs? Wasn't it like Pat Playjack or something? He's the only other game show host I remember besides Guy Smiley and Sonny Friendly.
All I really remember from this sketch is that it freaked me out a little. I would think, "how awful to have all that hair, and not be able to see anything." I was glad when it got cut, but then I'd get weirded out by all that hair.
I didn't watch last night's show, but I found out this morning that LaToya is gone. I'm shocked! I saw the 2nd song she sang on Tuesday, and I thought it was her best yet. I voted for her.
Man, I missed Donna Summer singing "McArthur Park"? That would have been something to see. That...
I thought it was pretty good, although predictible. I was a little weepy at the end though.
It was funny how Phoebe kept trying to make it into a musical.
I thought that we'd find out about Joey's big move to California, but I guess we'll learn more when "Joey" starts.
I'm also disappointed that George is gone. He's been one of my fav's since the top 32. I admire him because he always seems so positive.
I'm not very interested in watching anymore until perhaps the finale.
I think Jasmine may be going too. That's too bad you missed Diana because I thought she did great. And as usual, I highly enjoyed George's performance. He picked great songs.
Can anyone tell me how this song was originally used? I really like this song and remember it from when I watched when I was a kid in the 80's. I just can't remember what context it was used in. I can only think of the more recent one with Ernie singing it to a bunch of cute little forest...
I agree with you all.
Did John have a solo in the group song? I heard everyone else sing one, except John. But there were storm warnings in my area, so the National Weather Service alert was on over them singing for awhile.
I bought this DVD yesterday. Yay!
It was worth the $10 just for the Pinball Number Count! :D I so enjoyed it! I was dancing all around my living room to it.
Also enjoyed Captain Vegetable a lot.
The plot was pretty cute, and I liked the songs too.
And, did you know if you go...
I saw the Mr. Rogers with Margaret Hamilton sometime when I was a kid. I think it was an old episode when I saw it though. It really helped me to not be afraid of the Wicked Witch anymore. She came to visit Mr. Rogers, first dressed normally, and then she put her costume on. It was a neat...
