I will now make a Prog Rock thread (if there isn't one already) to continue these topics! :D I don't mind it continuing in this thread, myself, but when I start rambling about music, it won't fit in this thread anymore:confused:
Thank you Kiki! You have great taste too! :D (I see you have 13th Floor Elevators listed, which is more proof, and Roky Erickson's solo album "Don't Slander Me" is an all time favorite of mine! I could go on about how amazing Roky is too.) Coincidentally, I wanna hug Roger when I hear my...
Hehe! Thanks for sharing! I think you will like it! :) I finally saw it a few days ago, and instantly thought it was a keeper. As for John Lithgow, he cracked me up on Conan O'Brien's show years ago: Conan took an audience member and sent them into a machine to turn them into a star, and out...
I'll do one each for today, though I have other faves:
Actor: Harry Dean Stanton (Especially in "Monster Maker" & "One Magic Christmas" so far)
TV Character: Earl Sinclair (Especially when he trusts his heart, makes the right decisions and takes a stand! YAY CAPTAIN IMPRESSIVE!)...
Big John by Jimmy Dean
Here's both versions of Jimmy Dean singing that excellent song "Big John"!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0DIPWMtNv4 ("one heluva man")
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bx59fmP7jYE ("a big, big man")
Yes, and I loved how Linus explained to Charlie Brown that he had no right to complain. I won't give it away though - hilarious! But new year's eve didn't exactly turn out as well for him as that picture, if I remember right. I believe Linus wasn't the perfect friend (which he usually is) that...
The 1967-70 version of Dragnet? And thanks for telling me the logo name! I found a link to it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zzuDDx3AypM How dramatic most of those are in the link! And yes, I think the reasons you said are why I found it a bit heavy, so to speak, even if I wasn't scared in the...
I'd love to hear anyone's thoughts on Robocop. There's:
1. the movie trilogy (I like 1 and 3 myself)
2. the 1990's series (Also good)
3. the 2000's Prime Directives Mini Series Films (Never saw it)
As well as
4. the 1980's cartoon show (Good)
5. a newer cartoon show I am not familiar with
And...
Mtv
I'd prefer that Mtv would just set up a date for their last day on the air, and on that day play EXACTLY what they played on their first day in 1981. Including the test patterns during the night, if that's the case. But I realize the commercials won't be from 81, sadly :) But I may as well...
Even though this thread is from 2007 (I just noticed) I am very glad to learn cherrypotion27 has their Notepad for season 1! However, when I first read the name, I thought it meant that somehow there was a way to get some bonus item to go with our (finally released)final season sets! But hey...
Everything about Fraggle Rock is just WONDERFUL. When one thinks about the point of the series, and the lesson in each episode (which they incorporate without being preachy) I have to agree with your entire post!
Sorry if it was mentioned already, and I realize it's not a closing logo, but does anyone remember (when it was on TV in the 90's...or earlier) the 60's Looney Tunes opening? Think of the normal song, but twisted WAY out there and scary :)
As for a real Closing Logo thing, I remember the thing...
Batman
I know it was on TV Land or Nick @ Nite in the last 10 years, but...I never got to see it then, so I wish they'd put the 60's BATMAN back on! And it's not like it will come on DVD anytime soon (the typical red tape crap). So all you can buy at the moment is the 60's Batman movie...which...
I also give a positive review to The Garfield Show! From the few I've seen, it seems Nermal is kind of...out to get Garfield, where in Garfield & Friends he was innocent (but a pain to Garfield, of course). But even though it feels totally different from G&F, I still like it - I just remember...
I wish I could find my mp3 of Flip Wilson talking about how ever since Christopher Columbus was a baby, he knew he was going to discover America, and told everybody he would! :) Misplacing an mp3, that's pretty sad, isn't it? :) I think it's on an unlabeled data CD.
