    My Muppet Show App Discussion/Updates

What is it about Sam Arrow that gets that variant in merchandise, while other MTI variants don't? Sam Arrow was one of very few Muppet Treasure Island action figures put out by Palisades, and that one even had an exclusive variant (he was one of the few characters in the movie to have any...

    My Muppet Show App Discussion/Updates

I was just looking at the menu screen for each stage, and there's going to be a new stage coming soon. The image is dark but it looks like Animal is once again the character featured on the image (he was already the featured image character for the first stage). I guess Lew Zealand will probably...

    Questions about anything

A few things concerning Saturday Night Live, and some of it might qualify more for the "did you ever notice...?" thread, but I'm not entirely sure. The sixth season is considered an "old shame" of the show. Not sure if that's for the shows owner, the producers, or what. But most of the cast...

Your Thoughts: Lady Gaga and The Muppets Holiday Spectacular on ABC

Well, The Electric Mayhem was the background band for the opening song. And actually, if this was done in 2000, I think the Electric Mayhem scenes would have been done. It probably wouldn't have had Lips, and most of the dialogue would have been given to Floyd and Animal, though I could still...

TV Alert: "It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie" on CW Monday December 2

I didn't watch all of this broadcast, and there were times I wasn't paying attention, but is it just me or were the Scrubs and Fear Factor scenes cut? Though if those were, it was kind of a strength. I always thought it was weird that the Muppets determined that Miss Piggy was a big-enough...

TV Alert: "It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie" on CW Monday December 2

Not surprisingly, they also cut the scene with the NBC logo on Kermit's foot. Actually, they kept the dialogue in, but I think they dubbed it over a different shot of Kermit talking. I can't remember if the NBC music played in this scene or not, but if it did then that was cut.

TV Alert: "It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie" on CW Monday December 2

I'm watching this right now, and they cut out the entire Crocodile Hunter scene. So those seeing this for the first time suddenly saw Fozzie looking like the Grinch without knowing why.

The Leslie Mostly Show with Guy Smiley

Now that I think about it, considering the one with Guy Smiley was available on Verizon phones in the past, was that sketch released in english or another language (I think I've read the service included non-English segments)?

Your Thoughts: Lady Gaga and The Muppets Holiday Spectacular on ABC

He wasn't in Muppets' Wizard of Oz. Maybe it's just me but it seems like he was gone during that period, and then came back in 2008 (while Johnny and Sal started to be dropped). Then again there weren't many Muppet projects between 2006-2008.

    Questions about anything

Maybe I did, but can't remember if I asked it here or somewhere else (or maybe I did ask here and somewhere else). I don't remember if I had gotten an answer. I guess I'll have to find time to search through all 115 pages of posts to see.

Your Thoughts: "Jim Henson: The Biography" by Brian Jay Jones

Some time ago the Tough Pigs people hosted a panel about the book, and now the event has been posted on YouTube by The Nerdist YouTube channel.

    Questions about anything

How do ratings work, anyway? I know that there are nielsen families who keep track of what they watch and when, and I think there's a satellite-thingy which keeps track of TVs that have the programs on, but I recently read an article about Thursday nights ratings (regarding the Muppets & Lady...

Your Thoughts: Lady Gaga and The Muppets Holiday Spectacular on ABC

I've been reading the comments section of the review at The Muppet Mindset, and it seems like many who watched the special and commented there really hated it. While some of us had positive things to say about it in this thread as well as the thread at Tough Pigs (and the review at The Muppet...

Your Thoughts: Lady Gaga and The Muppets Holiday Spectacular on ABC

Letters to Santa didn't originally air on Thanksgiving.

Your Thoughts: Lady Gaga and The Muppets Holiday Spectacular on ABC

In the scenes with the Electric Mayhem, I kept expecting Lips to say something, considering that last winter Steve Whitmire supposedly had Lips say something in a way that makes him know who the character is now. This would have been an opportunity. I can't believe that Janice was mostly cut...

You Ever Notice...and What's the Deal...

The last season of SCTV aired on Cinemark (or was it Cinemax?) in a 45-minute format. That channel was commercial free, so what's the deal of having a show that short? With no commercial interruptions, they'd need 15 minutes of commercial time to fill before the next program (or maybe split the...

Your Thoughts: Lady Gaga and The Muppets Holiday Spectacular on ABC

A lot of people are saying that the Muppets were treated more like guests despite sharing the title with Lady Gaga. And while the non-Muppet scenes may be a little too long, I'd say that if the Muppets were just guests they probably wouldn't have had all those Muppet segments without Lady Gaga.

Your Thoughts: Lady Gaga and The Muppets Holiday Spectacular on ABC

This special was a lot better than I was hoping. So most of the non-Muppet portions weren't that good, and I feel like some of the songs (even Kermit and Lady Gaga's duet) were just too long. But this is not the worst special the Muppets have ever done. I think it's better than The Muppets Go...

    The "You know what?" thread

A drawing can be called a "sketch". A skit can also be called a "sketch". Comedy sketches are usually written. So you can write OR draw a sketch!

    Questions about anything

I didn't think to look up twering until right after making my post. Which leads to another question... Why do so many of us (including myself) ask questions without thinking to look it up on Google? Should I look up the answer to that question on Google?
