That's why they're not being made into something they aren't. They're being parodied. Parodies make things into things they aren't, which is what makes them parodies.
I don't see why a sketch like the one on Robot Chicken would turn fans away from the Muppets at all. I found the sketch to be inspired and quite original. The voices of the characters were spot on and so was the characterization. If anything, I think sketches like this and ones on Family Guy...
Sorry, but I don't agree with this at all. I'm sure children of all ages still know who Ernie and Bert are. They have not disappeared from the viewing eye at all. There's still an Ernie and Bert sketch in almost every episode of the show, they still appear in the opening theme, they star in...
WHEEEEEEEEEEE! That chapter was GREAT, Beth! WHEEE! ! ! I LOVED it! I thought the part where Kermit thought, "Elmo makes everything so simple" was adorable! Again, LOVED it! More please!
I'm sorry, I really don't mean to stir this issue up anymore, but I have to say something. I do NOT get upset when Frank is brought up, I merely try to provide a realistic opinion about Frank's inclusion in the flim. I do not and have never disliked Frank Oz. I, in fact, find Frank Oz to be the...
Please forgive me, I didn't mean to sound like I was getting defensive, I was merely trying to state my opinion about Frank coming back, hence, this sentence...
Sorry if I came off sounding harsh, I didn't mean to at all. And I have absolutely nothing at all against Frank Oz, NOTHING AT ALL, he...
Haha, yes, either limo driver or personal assistant or something. Or even director of a two-bit movie she's in when Kermit finds her! I don't know, but I think a Frank cameo would be great.
Heck yes, I could even see it working if for a little bit you lost both Donald and Goofy and Fozzie and Gonzo took their places. Kermit could totally be king of the Muppet universe and weild a keyblade. That would be SO sweet.
Right on! :sing:
What I think would be insanely cool, if Frank was to be involved in the film, was to have HIM have a cameo. I think it would be absolutely hillariously awesome if he cameoed as Miss Piggy's limo driver or something. Imagine it!
Agree with ya there, Super Scoot. Also, my own personal opinion about the Frank Oz situation, again, my personal opinion, is that he is indeed done with his work with the Muppets. I feel that his last effort was synching his characters in MFS (and you could TOTALLY tell) and that was basically...
Ha ha ha, I just started listening to this song and it really makes me laugh hearing the chorus sing it so happily and fast and... Bwa ha ha ha! Too cool! Thanks for posting this!
Bunsen: Oh my... I seem to be gaining a sudden head of... hair?
Sheesh, try as you may, dear Bunsen, your hair shall never meet the expectations mine hath.
