    My puppets can't see!

well, my puppets are not meant to be toys. They are for shows only but I do also train new puppeteers with them and some of them have not grasped the consept yet that they are NOT indistructable play things. So I have tried my best to make them as durable as possible in order to cut down the...

    My puppets can't see!

ok these would work but how do I attach them to the face? The other ones I had have a post and keeper that mounted the eyes firmly on the face. Thanks for the link. I'm always looking for more supply sources.

    My puppets can't see!

Thanks but actually I was looking for the 35mm and 45mm dome eyes.

    My puppets can't see!

Since McGinnis is going out of buisness, where will I get my dome eyes from now? I can't afford to buy in such large quantity as the other places I've seen require for an order. I have a couple new puppets here that still need eyes and noses. I'll "pick my nose" while I'm looking for eyes.

    I'm a beginning puppeteer...

WOW! That was a very helpful link. I think I'm gaining a better understanding of this dart placement thing to make 2D into 3D. Thanks Buck :)

  10. Show and Tell

    Got Legs?

Did you get that leg pattern scanned in yet? I dont guess I really would need the actual pattern to use directly I just need to see how the pattern looks.
  11. Show and Tell

    Got Legs?

Yes. Actually she is VERY heavy. It was an experiment gone wrong but I used her for as much trial and error as I could. I really learned alot from her contruction. I'm not really familiar with the proportions of a puppet. Should it have the proportions of a child or adult? (to scale of course)...

    Got Legs?

So.....Buck did you ever get that pattern scanned in for the legs?

    Need puppet wigs

I've never seen this kind of puppetry where the puppeteers stand in full view like that. Really good puppetry by the way but I didn't care for the vulgarity. Just my opinion but I think they would have been just as informative and down to earth also getting their point across without all the...

    Got Legs?

Thats really nice of you Buck! Thanks a bunch. Don't suppose you could shed some light on the other half of that question could you?... even though it would mean I sorta muffined my own thread. ;)

    Moving Eyebrows

I believe it can be done kid, but I think your talking about making it really complex to both build and operate. I have a theory as to how it could work if anyone is interested. Takes a bit of engineering.

    Need puppet wigs

Sorry for the newbie Qestion but what is Avenue Q exactly? I've heard lots about it in the forum here but never really understood what it is. Is it a production?
  17. Show and Tell

    Got Legs?

Well, what I'm looking for is a pattern so I can make the legs myself. I want them to be foam and fleece legs that are able to match the puppets. It doesn't matter too much about leg material because I would always have my puppets dressed modestly, fully covered. Still I dont really want to buy...

    Got Legs?

I will be making some with Antron but have only made them with antipill fleeces so far. The girl here isnt quite finished yet. She needs a nose, eyelashes, new pupils, and color in her checks including a few freckles. Manuel was the first puppet I built. http://photos.yahoo.com/puppet_builder
