In a word: space. According to Greg over at the Muppet News Flash, there was very little space left on the discs, so the retrospective was cut. It may be on the second season, so watch for it! :)
I got Gonzo. I never thought I was that weird, but... :)
EDIT: I just found this quiz, which is a whole lot better than the previous one. Here, I got Scooter. I'll keep checking around for more.
EDIT: OK, I'm back. I found this one, and I got Scooter again!
Well, certainly not up my way. The best we've got is Future Shop, which is the Canadian offshoot of Best Buy I believe. $40 for the set, and I don't think they have a deal with Oz, but I could well be wrong.
Hmmm...
Chef's musket, Sam's podium and stickers, Gaffer, Polly Lobster, S & W's chairs, Rizzo's pizza box, Johnny Fiama's picture of himself, Tux Gonzo's tire, Link Hogthrob's gun and model of the Swinetrek, Scooter's popcorn cart, Robin's campfire, Janice's guitar, Beau's mop bucket &...
There's a scary part about that list: I own most of the movies you mentioned there! The only ones I haven't seen are "Twister" and "Elf", so I'll take your recommendations to heart.
Possibly, and it could be the first where a large majority of the posts were my own. :)
I forgot to say a couple of things:
1) Suggestions for films to watch along the way would be greatly appreciated.
2) I watched "Pulp Fiction" the other day, and it is the most vile film I have ever...
Well, there's "Coal Miner's Daughter", but I can't think of any more offhand. I'm going to a video store on Monday, I'll have a quick look when I'm there.
Now, this title probably intrigues you. In case you're wondering what in the world I mean by "Year at the Movies", let me explain.
If you haven't heard, in 2001 (I think) Kevin Murphy, famous for performing Tom Servo on Mystery Science Theater 3000, published a book entitled "A Year at the...
Well, you've convinced me. I was thinking about seeing it myself, but I wasn't sure. But now, I think I will see it. Sounds like a good movie.
Out of curiosity, just how short was it?
Now, it could be said that this belongs in the "trade MP3s" thread, but there's a bit of story to it and quite a bit of posting involved, so I'm going to make a new thread for it. Anyway: I'm soon going to be creating a "Muppet Curios" 3-CD set. This will contain a disc for movies; a disc for...
Being a purist really can tear down your enjoyment of the Muppets, can't it? The set will be awesome. Also, if you buy this set but you complain about it, there is a high possibility they'll listen to you. I'll now quote from Sean Gaffney:
He's right. There are five cuts in the set...
Glad to see someone agrees with me. It just seems awfully dumb to give up enjoying the entire first season of TMS because five songs aren't there.
And a warning to you: Disney and most other film companies use your reactions to DVDs to judge if they should release more. So, if a revolution...
I've realized what I can compare the TMS controversy to: the Live Aid controversy. When Live Aid was released on DVD there a while back, some footage had been lost; some was of such poor quality that it was unreleasable even if restoration was done; some footage suffered from problems on the day...
Indeed. Assuming that Kimp's ban was the same as HPDJ's, he could come back on the first of the month.
Welcome back, Peter. Thank you for the promise, I'm glad to have you back.
Gotcha. For whatever reason, I've only ever been spammed a few times. I never really understood what all the buzz surrounding spam was about, as neither myself nor my mother had to deal with it! :D
