A few things about How the Grinch Stole Christmas (a few of which I mentioned in the "what's the deal with....?" thread today):
1. When Cindy Lou Who questions The Grinch stealing the Christmas tree, she doesn't seem to notice the rest of the room was empty.
2.The narrator says that the only...
Thinking about it, I'm remembering that scene from the 2000 movie where Cindy Lou's parents hear him on the roof but assume it's the real Santa so they stay in bed.
And another thing regarding the film that I've thought of: The movie expands Cindy Lou Who's role into that of a main character...
Somebody asked who performed the Ernie statue, and unfortunately, he doesn't remember (speaking of which, I know everybody who's been asked doesn't remember who performed Astoria, but has anybody asked Oz?).
Similarly, Gary Coleman and Emmanual Lewis were both actors who never grew past child-size who starred on sitcoms where they played black kids adopted by white families. I wouldn't be surprised if Webster played "follow the leader" with Diff'rent Strokes' concept of "a black kid adopted by white...
I recently got the Once Upon a Sesame Street Christmas DVD. The special was good. Interestingly, when new DVDs are announced, we get to see the cover and full info on the bonus features within days of the announcement, but with this release, they didn't announce the features until closer to the...
That's a show I'm not really a big fan of, haven't watched it often and feel it's a bit overrated, but I don't think Elliot Gould was a regular on that show in the same way that he was a regular on the shows I mentioned (I don't think I've ever seen a Friends episode with him, while the shows I...
One thing I thought about bringing up that I forgot to was the songs. This was my first exposure to many of the songs - including "We Need a Little Christmas", "Sleigh Ride", "The Christmas Song", and many of the songs in the carol sing - and I tend to associate those songs with this special as...
It seems like Elliot Gould might be a television bad luck charm. He's been in the cast of a few shows I really liked (Baby Bob, Mulaney) that got canceled after only one season. And now he's on the new show 9JKL, a show I really like. I hope it lasts another season, but if it gets canceled...
What if George Lucas didn't hate The Star Wars Holiday Special?
What if George Lucas didn't hate The Star Wars Holiday Special, but all the fans and critics still did?
What if George Lucas was really the only one who hated or disliked the Star Wars Holiday Special, while the special itself has...
Top ten celebrities who I wish were guest stars on Muppets Tonight (most of them are people I wanted to be guests at the time, I'll also list a few I know I was a big fan of who I'm unsure whether I specifically desired to be guests):
10. Bob Newhart
9. Jaheel White
8. Tim Allen
7...
This is available on iTunes. And for some reason, it's downlodable as a "season pass". What's the deal with a one-shot movie having a season pass when it's just a movie (the pass includes the trailer)?
I thought the reason television shows based on movies had different casts had more to do with the actors being too expensive or too busy with their film careers (or maybe just not interested in playing the roles regularly), as opposed to it being beneathe them.
I missed the first ten minutes and had to miss the last hour, but I liked what I saw.
TV Tropes' YMMV page lists an alternate character intepretation regarding the scene where the bad guy refuses to give the main characters the wifi password, mentioning the possibilities that he's either...
What if in time travel stories that, along with listings of past uses of the time machine, there were buttons were you could go back to a previous version of the timeline as if you'd never went back and altered time in the first place?
Are there any good interviews with the writers of the current Back to the Future comic books? I've tried looking for some but have actually had trouble finding any on Google.
In Back to the Future Part II, in 2015, old Biff figures out that Doc built a time machine.... Wouldn't it have been something if he'd figured out that Marty was the same person as Calvin Klein? Seems like he didn't, I wonder if the 2015 Biff had forgotten about his old enemy.
Of course, it can...
And at the time that Disney bought the Muppets in 2004, it seems like Steve Whitmire and Eric Jacobson were the only performers who were active with both the Muppets and Sesame Street, with the other performers primarily working for one or the other (Jerry Nelson was about to retire from the...
Most of the Garfield specials were adapted into comic book form, in the size of the old Garfield strip collection books, and I know that Garfield: His 9 Lives was an exception, as the special was based on an existing Garfield book (still would have been cool if they'd made a comic book based on...
Anybody remember seeing an episode of Family Ties where the father shows a magic trick to the family by putting one of the girls in a box and making her disappear, but when he tries to bring her back, she doesn't come back, to which we then see "to be continued"? I recall seeing this episode...
