I think the Muppets never really have a problem being in mainstream culture, they pretty much always are. Sure the new material is as good, but they're still stars for the most part. I don't know, I guess once a celeb always a celeb or something.
Thanks for that, cause I'm looking for more books to read on the net and I wasn't sure what that one was called. So thanks Bear.
Yeah I would of loved to have seen a pic like that in the book. There was also one for Richard Hunt on a fan website. It's a drawing of Hunt with most (you know at...
My two cents.
This is just about the same thing I said in the "Last Book you've read" thread. But here's what I think...
Pros-As Bear said it's an "inspirational read", I agree with that 100%. There were a lot of points in that book that made me think and even made me feel good about myself...
Hey Marky I was thinking about the point you made about the lack of the word "Muppet" in KSY, but if you think about it, maybe that was smart. I mean this would be before Kermit met the gang and became known as "Muppets" right?
Lamina, forgive me if I sound rude her, but you're just talking about yourself. That's cool that you were smart enough to record them (believe I wish I was), but there are still others who don't have a lot of episodes on VHS and maybe would like to buy them.
Not me though, I'm not going to...
I have to agree with Bear Man there.
A lot of fans here are just really upset that the Muppets are no longer with the JHC (believe me, I think that's a bummer too.). But as Bear Man said, Disney should be given more of a chance that what a lot of the fans here are giving them. It is going to...
Well really I try to show almost anything Muppets, mostly the movies, everything from "The Muppet Movie" to "The Muppet Wizard of Oz, I do agree that a lot of the DVDs the kids want to wacth from my collection (Family Guy and such) aren't really shows that kids should be wacthing, which is way...
Just last night I got done reading Kevin Clash's book "My Life as a Furry Red Monster": "What Being Elmo has taught me about Life, Love and Laughing out Loud."
It's a good read, although I would of like it more if he talked about his other Muppet characters he has performed (Hoots, Clifford...
Sorry I'm going to have to disagree with you on that. As sad as it can be, kids don't want to see something with holesome messages have like the Mupepts. Believe, I've wacth many kids, and I'm always trying to entertain them with the Muppets. At least a good four out of five of them, usually...
I would have to agree with that. Even though we here are "die heart fans", it's overall, not what's really in with the younger kids (minus maybe Elmo and Pepe.) Shows like South Park and Family Guy is what rules right now, the kind of shows where no one really learns a lesson (at least on Family...
Man I just can't help my DVD craze. I bought "Brain Pillman: Loose Cannon" today. It's about this man who is a wrestler. was going crazy with gimmicks and other stuff, and met with a sad untimly death. Needless to say it's a true story.
Yeah dude, I'm really bad and shouldn't have done this. But even though it was just last night since I bought "Beavis and Butt-Head Do America", I went out today and bought "The Devil's Rejects". I do love horror movies and I think Rob Zombie does some good work, I'm also a fan of his music.
Just last night I bought Beavis and Butt-Head Do America: Special Colletors edition. Because it's super funny, I've always been a big Beavis and Butt-Head fan.
Plus I'm someone who always has to have the "Special Edition" of all my favorite movies of tv shows.
Also I would like to point out that if you have nothing better to do than write a network about the show not "fitting" into their channel's line up, that you should really get a life.
With the way the "Saved by the Bell" set look, it was almost like a cartoon.
Well the way I see it is if you ever have a Muppet or Kermit movie that has no familer Muppets and the only familer Muppet are younger and therefore a whole different verison of themselves, than it's not as fun to wacth for the most part.
Plus I don't feel any of the newer Muppets were that...
