If you live in the US, you can keep track of the medal numbers here: http://www.nbcolympics.com/medals/index.html
The Opening Ceremonies always make me cry. I hope the small nations with, like, 2 athletes can win something. But, of course, go USA! USA USA USA! :D
I want to see the "wacky" again. Chickens, Gonzo stunts, corny jokes, the human being thrown into their world, not the other way around. I want the interaction "onstage" and off. I want the deepness you could sometimes find (like in Fraggle Rock) under the goofy upfront. That is the magic for me...
Hey There, it's Yogi Bear - Hmm, I think I saw this as a kid! Is this the one where Yogi leaves the park? I'm a little fuzzy on details.
Actually, I want them to put the film where the Jetsons and the Flintstones meet on DVD. I loved it as a kid :)
Most of my teachers were decently OK, but I was definitely treated like the slow and stupid kid :( I'm pretty sure they stuck me in my share of "slow and stupid kid" classes, which I still resent to this day!
D'Snowth,
I lived in a student apartment at my college for a few semesters - while it did have its issues, one of my roommates was a really close friend, so it wasn't as bad as it could've been. I too live at home right now (with my dad, specifically, who is a Baby Boomer himself), and it's...
About 14 years ago they used to air during Nick Jr. (and that's the last I ever heard of the reruns being on TV), but as others have said, your best bet is checking your local library (where it's likely going to be free) or video rental for the DVDs. It's a cheap way to see it and you aren't...
Oh, they definitely lied. I graduated 8 months ago after obtaining my second degree, and I'm *still* unemployed. There's pretty much nothing in my field that I can locate, anything I do find requires experience I don't have. Maybe I can put "get a job" on my New Years 2009 Resolution List? :/
I went there sometimes, but not very often.
Actually, the place I never got to go to at all, unless it was somebody's birthday party, was Chuck E. Cheese :P
Yes. I was like "The Swedish Chef doesn't speak English! You aren't supposed to understand him!" *fist of death*
Overall I give it a shrug and a "Meh, whatever." I laughed once or twice, and that was about it. Very dry, rather boring, didn't live up to what it could've been. It needed more...
I'm not really impressed. I watched a few minutes with my dad, an old school Muppet fan, and he had this deep look of confusion on his face :P
I mean, it has its funny moments, but overall I'm finding myself rather bored.
And where was Fozzie? And Rowlf?
I'm going to have to pay attention or I'll miss it and have to kick myself (I'm on the computer with the TV right next to it, so hopefully I won't lose track of time).
Bon Voyage, Charlie Brown (And Don't Come Back!)
The Care Bears' Adventure in Wonderland
Rainbow Brite (though I hear it's out in Australia)
Beetlejuice (the cartoon series)
Hey Arnold
Doug and Disney's Doug
Yes, but not from any specific place - not New York, not Chicago, etc. just a street. At least, I didn't when I was a kid. A street where you can't be shot, or mugged, or generally feel unsafe/scared. I would pay a lot of money to spend even five minutes there. It would make me the happiest I've...
You'll laugh, but: "Sing A Song." I don't why, I just feel all nostalgic and sad for years gone past. It's so innocent and sweet.
"I Don't Want To Live On The Moon" can make me cry depending on my mood.
