These quotes have me laughing so hard ;)
Now for my own:
Uncle Matt: "This is nothing compared to a used car lot at sunset."
Mokey: "It was rapturous!"
Red: "Is 'rapturous' the same as 'boring'?"
Wembley: "I don't think so."
Red: "Then she's wrong."
I always found it amusing that humans were perfectly accepting of Uncle Matt, walking past him and giving him things without a second thought. Even when he was doing something strange like making his food race against each other, or talking to the parking coin machines, they didn't even stare XD...
Ah yes, I remember when I saw the show for the first time (I believe it was in '97). I'm hoping to go back to WDW for my 30th birthday and hopefully it'll still be there :D
I believe my family's favorite part of the pre-show was that Max character :)
I don't think my mom or sister "gets" the Muppets (or most things thought "childish," anyway), but I know my dad does. He was the one that introduced me to it! I feel lucky that I was never encouraged to give them up after puberty ;)
I have to feel sorry for people who can't understand...
Thank you for the comments, guys. I haven't actually gotten into working with puppets yet. I've never owned anything beyond a handpuppet you give to kids, sadly, because of lack of money. But, I'm hoping to save up for that new F.A.O. deal and get one of those as a "starter" puppet (assuming...
You know, it's strange. I watched a lot of creepy things as a kid, and some of them didn't even scare me, though they should've.
I mean, I must've watched Roger Rabbit 50 times, and that terrible judge and his deadly cartoon killing goop is really freaky. It scares me NOW, but not really back...
^ For the longest time I didn't know about a few extra seconds of scenes in the Halloween and Christmas specials because the copy my dad made in the 80s edited them out. Until we got them on DVD I didn't even know about them. It felt surreal :P
^ I haven't heard of any petitions, either, just a lot of angry ramblings on Amazon, here, and a discussion about it on the Muppet Cast podcast. But those don't really work, anyway, and aren't taken seriously from what I've heard. Anybody can sign their name on a list with little work or...
I feel very fortunate that I managed to tape several episodes off the TV when it aired on Nick Jr., but I'm still missing the last season and a handful from the others.
I've pretty much given up that they'll ever release it, at least in it's original form with no video cuts due to copyright...
