Well for Crazy Harry, I'm thinking maybe either Bill or John Kenndy, just because they took most of the roles of Jerry Nelson, but again not totally sure.
As for Sweetums, maybe it is John Henson, but since that role was so small they didn't brother to list him. I don't know just a guess
Hey Gonzo14, I don't know if you saw it, but you asked who did Lew Zealand and I mention it was Bill.
Also I think Dr. Teeth sounds and looks totally the same as he did in Oz, maybe if I give it another look
I think what Redsonga is trying to say is that if you believe in something it makes it real, at least to you.
And Redsonga, I think what MWoO is trying to say, is that there is a difference between believing the ideas of something and believing that it exists in the same way we exist.
But...
Ok we are starting to see more eye to eye on this subject. But I don't really think the Muppets live in your world, I just don't really see it. I see them living in a world much like ours, but not ours.
Again though I do agree that it could of be handed better, in some respects it did come...
I could be wrong so please don't totally take this to heart but I'm thinking Floyd was John Kennedy.
Just to be sure I'll see if I can look it up somewhere, ;)
Oh and Bill Baretta was Lew Zealand, he's did him in "Very Merry Muppet Christmas" as well
I updated my last post somewhat agreeing with you.
And no I'm not saying that the adults in this special didn't come off as children to me, in fact the total oppisite they were total children. What I am saying, is I don't see how that's a bad thing. I think what they were trying to go for...
They didn't make it seem like everyone knows as fact that Santa is real, if you recall Pepe and Rizzo kept making jokes about him not being real (though in the end it made it seem like they believe in him the whole time), so therefore is some doubt even in the Muppet world that he is real...
Well than what about that episode of the Muppet show where they met the cast of Star wars, was that silly? To you it should be.
Dude one of the whole points of the Muppets, Santa, Disney or any of this kind of stuff is that if you believe than it's real. You're making it sound like the...
I see what you mean and it makes sense. But I think the Muppets are allowed to be more "silly" than say Superman. Which is why I don't find putting Santa in this movie silly. They also met Mickey Mouse in "Muppets go to Walt Disney World" and I never heard anyone say that was silly. So I'm just...
I totally agree.
Plus it seems odd to me that people think it's too "out there" or whatever to have Santa as a real character in a world where a frog plays the banjo, a bear tells jokes, a pig sings and wears make-up and they all ride bikes. I don't really see how having Santa as a real...
I think what did it for me (and I'm just talking about the first Casper movie, mind you) is the fact that I think it keep true to the Casper character, but you would feel for him more than in his comics and old cartoons. The scene where he kisses Christina Riccie's check and she replys "shut the...
What I'm wondering now since you said that Redsonga, is if these people who dislike this Muppet special for thoes reasons does that mean they also dislike other christmas classics? I mean didn't "The Year Without A Santa Claues" treat Santa as though he was real and there was grown up in that...
I never read any Richie-Rich comics and never plan too, he just never interested me as a character, which is what I guess you guys are saying for the most part, :).
I don't dig Casper too much either, though I thought the movie was kind of cool, which is more than I can say for the...
On the comic strip side of things, I enjoy Dilbert, Garfield, and Peanuts. Zits is pretty great too and Baby blues.
Maybe my all time favorite could be Calvin and Hobbes.
I didn't hear the Times review on it, but I would agree with you. It's just an hour long special so no one should really think it's going to be something for the ages kind of thing.
Plus I think when it comes to something like the Muppets (this is just my opinion by the way), if you don't...
Me personally I don't have anything against thoes characters, I kind of like them, but I don't really miss them. That's just me
I totally agree it did have heart. That song with Fozzie and Gonzo was awesome too. I love the friendship Gonzo and Fozzie displayed in this special. It was nice to...
I remember when I was a kid I wanted to be on that game show "Nick Arade" so bad.
But anyway, I think Angry Beavers maybe one of the most underratted cartoon shows of all time, it was great. That's a cartoon show I totally want to see have a DVD release.
Another great "Old School" Nick...
