The Tale of The Bunny Picnic: Hello Sunshine

I'm just curious what are the lyrics to the song, especially the choirs in the background? I can barely understand the lyrics in the background in this song, same goes with Drum of Time. It's like a style where there's a second song in the background matched to the melody, it's kind of cool. I...

Looking for a Jimmy Durante movie

Does anyone know where these clips came from? Looks like a funny movie. :)

Looking for a Rocky and Bullwinkle episode

I've rarely seen Rocky and Bullwinkle except some bits here and there on Nickelodeon. Though there's one episode that sticks in my mind and I couldn't find a clip of it. Perhaps if there's anyone here who's a fan, perhaps you could help me out. It was part of the twisted fairy tales segment they...

    Do celebrities charge autographs now?

Just came back from a local comic book convention and got some autographed DVDs from a few heros of mine though I noticed that autographs are about $20 each. Though I can't complain, it's a little extra money in their pocket and I'm getting a change to chat with them a little bit and not hold up...

    Artist success stories

I'm doing a bit of research on success stories of people. Like how someone got from their inspiration to their fullest success. For example Disney, he started out as a political cartoonist looking for a newspaper job and now his company is probably the most successful in the world. Mel Brooks...

Auditioning for Stuffed & Unstrung and or Henson Alternative projects

I remember years ago hearing that puppeteers who wanted to work for JHC would send in a puppet reel, I'm just curious if JHC still does it this way. I remember talking to an agent who represented puppeteers but told me that I had to be a part of the Guild Actors League as well as have an agent...

Jim Henson's Early years of success

I was just curious about a couple of things. When Jim went to college at The University of Maryland, was Jim a business major? How did Sam & Friends happen? Some sort of project for Home Makers, what was this? I think I remember this from the People Magazine Documentry from 1999 or 2000s. Was...

Thinking of moving to California to follow my dreams, any advice

I believe there's not only more like minded people for me over there but a lot more excitement and opertunaties in the arts over there, either that or New York. I'm not sure if there's anyone here who felt simular and successfully live there. I want to go out there and follow my dreams, I know...

Getting back into puppet building, looking for some advice

I've experimented with it before ever since I seen Muppets on Puppets (1968) on how Don Salhin showed that you make 2 side profiles of the character that are the same, glue them together and it creates the foam skeleton right? I've always had difficulty with this because the heads would be flat...

What are puppet eyes made from

You know one of the things I kind of knew about The Muppets was their eyes where made of some kind of plastic material (excluding the Land of Gorch Muppets of course which were made of glass). I know that the first Kermit's eyes was a pin pong ball cut in half but I'm just curious about not only...

Looking for the Mystery Science Theater 3000 parody with Old McDonald and Pig

There was this 90s episode where Elmo writes a book and Maria reads it and it's about Old McDonald and a Pig going on silly adventures and whatnot and at one point they are in a theater and only their shadows are seen (Mystery Science Theater 3000 reference) and the film is stock footage of...

Jim Henson Company lawsuit to Wimzie's House over the artform of film puppetry in 1999?

I wasn't sure where to put this, it would have qualified for puppetry news but since it's Henson related, there was no other place to put it. Anyway, check this out. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wimzie's_House#Legal_troubles If anyone remembers this show, it was this Canadian puppet show...

Canadian Puppet Shows on TLC in the 90s?

Anyone remember Bookmice, Professor Iris, or any other show that was on TLC in the 90s? I remember the slogan was Ready Set Learn so I guess they were all educational shows. I've seen some clips online awhile back, some I think had VHS releases and some didn't and none or one DVD. When I...

Jim Gomez' Billy B(censored)D starring Billy West

I just wanted to give out the disclaimer that the trailer and film is for mature audiences, but I wanted to post this because I'm a strong supporter of adult puppetry. Anyway, I would really love to see this because it's like a cross between my top two favorite kinds of entertainment. TV /...

    Bookmice on DVD or VHS?

I'm looking for this Canadian kids show from 1991 called Bookmice. I think it aired on TLC because I remember watching it in the 1990s. And there was a full episode on youtube which got me curious if there are any VHS or DVDs out there of the show? If not, who owns the show because I would like...

    Dog City: Miss Belle's accent

Just curious, what kind of New York accent is that? Brooklyn, Bronx? For some reason, her voice reminds me of Batman's Harley Quinn a little bit :) I always enjoy the classic 40s new york accent about as much as I enjoy the British accent. :) They are my two favorite accents.

http://www.change.org/petitions/itv-global-distrubution-release-spitting-image-uncut-on-dvd-and-itunes Hi, I found this petition of one of my favorite UK shows called Spitting Image. Chris Cerf's 'Fall Out Filly' song for a Harvard Lampoon Album

Does anyone know if this album ever made it to CD or mp3? It's called "the harvard lampoon tabernacle choir sings at leningrad stadium" The only release I know of on CD is a CD box set called "Atomic Platters" and it's super expensive. I really love this song he did "My Fallout Filly", it's...
