I believe that was "Mr. Woodchuck" that Joey Gladstone performed.
This sounds like it's just a Chipmunks rip-off. Someone probably recorded it with the hopes of confusing people into buying it. If I'm wrong, please post here.
I'd agree that both of those are really good strips. "Calvin and Hobbes" is by far my personal favorite. Every now and then I still pull out the books and re-read those old strips. There's an old MC thread devoted to Calvin and Hobbes here...

As for value, check if the books are being sold on ebay.com. The final auction price on Ebay will usually give a more accurate value for items than any price...
Muppet Family Christmas--and it's not even close. It's actually my favorite Henson production ever.
MFC has tons of classic Christmas songs, appearances by most of the major Henson characters, and some truly funny Muppet moments. As a kid, it was almost surreal to see the classic Muppets...
Well, I'm apparently now a certified Muppetologist. I got 100%--even though one of the questions was wrong. Obviously, they meant Scooter's uncle and not dad in one of the questions. Cool quiz though.
I can respect that opinion. However, I feel it's okay as long as it's kept to a specific thread like this AND stays in the "General Discussion" folder. It only annoys me when politics pop up in non-political threads.
Isn't it possible that their original estimate was simply wrong? I'm guessing they didn't have it finished by the countdown time, so they pushed it back. It happens--especially with anything technical like designing a web site.
Also, it's just a web site and probably not worth all of the...
SNL--and it's not even close for me. I watched Mad TV during it's first season and found it boring. I've only seen it sporadically since.
SNL, of course, is pretty hit-or-miss but I usually catch at least part of it every week. Plus, SNL at its best (i.e. Eddie Murphy's prime, Phil...
Hmmm. I'm fairly certain that The Curse is the Red Sox inability to win the World Series since 1918. The Curse won't "officially" be broken until they win the World Series. Thus, Buckner's missed ground ball and the resulting collapse in the 1986 series is indeed part of it. In fact, the...
I hear you there. Ortiz's turnaround the last couple seasons has been amazing. How nice would it have been for the Twins to have THIS Ortiz batting behind Torii Hunter and Justin Morneau against the Yankees? Sigh.
Red Sox Win--Again!!
Incredibly, the Red Sox just won Game 6!! No baseball team has ever forced a Game 7 after trailing 3-0--until now. The last 48 hours of baseball have been absolutely insane. One more game to go and-- especially at this point in the series--who knows what will happen...
I'm assuming you're talking about the Random House books published in the early 1980's. You can see descriptions and pictures in MC's Collectibles section:

Yeah, they were some of my favorite books as a kid. My personal...
I'm pulling for the Astros too since they're overdue to win a playoff series. In the AL, the Red Sox are my pick because they have better starting pitching and enough good clutch hitters. Plus, it would be nice if the Sox could finally win so we never have to hear about "The Curse" and all...
I've only seen bits and pieces of Farscape over the past few years. It always seemed intriguing, but just never pulled me in all the way. However, I did catch what I presume was the series finale on Sci-Fi Channel a few weeks ago. Now, THAT was interesting. As for the miniseries? I'm not...
Well, it won't be the Blue Jays or Devil Rays since they were already eliminated from contention. The playoff teams right now are the Twins, Yankees, Red Sox, Braves, and Cardinals. There are still three more playoff spots up for grabs over the weekend.
Personally, I'd LOVE to see a...
Yeah, I saw this last night too and it was HILARIOUS. You're right too that this was a couple steps above the usual "Bert and Ernie are gay" jokes. As usual, a great job by the show's writers and editors.
Does Comedy Central still show the reruns a couple days later? If so, that might be...
Count Duckula did air in the U.S. on Nickelodeon sometime in the late 80s or early 90s. It was usually aired right after Danger Mouse. There was also a comic book and a few other tie-ins around this time. Back to the game...
They did have a few copyright issues. One will notice that Tom and Jerry, Felix the Cat, and Popeye are absent from the film. I recall reading the filmmakers had trouble getting the rights to those characters--especially after production costs started to go way over budget.
