Okay, I finished journaling, so here's how it went for me:
When I first heard that TMM Sing Along was returning to the Center for the 35th anniversary, that wowed me, especially the fact that I was 17 yrs. old back when they first did it. Remembering from last year that a birthday from a...
LOVE IT!!! You're so good at building foam puppets, Terry! Say, I just saw a special Muppet Movie Sing Along at Atlanta's Center for Puppetry Arts. They used a rod mechanism with a Gonzo replica dangling on balloons when that part of the movie happened! :concern: Still, you can build him better...
Now that you mentioned it, my friend did a college report for that whole Rocky Horror thingy. But he said it's hardly like TMM. I'll explain about him later, as I need to finish journaling... :busy:
It happened 5 years ago, and it happened again! Today: September 21th, 2013, Atlanta's Center for Puppetry Arts celebrates its 35th anniversary with The Muppet Movie Sing Along (slightly different from the 30th). And while I too had received the sad news that the atriums will go rotate again :(...
I think I heard that ABBA track before this...I like it, especially the Muppet Idea for it! I can imagine a dance group dressed in chess pieces (because, y'know, it's part of Chess) but they dance like they're in a Bollywood movie. That'll challenge Sam's judgment of culture! [Good suggestion...
What happens next, Charlie? Does Gonzo compete with Barkley on the show? What news does Matilda have for Sam?? Will playing a staged basketball game potentially harm the audience (whether on floor or balcony) watching it?!
While I still wait for your update, does anyone here have a favorite...
Saw it too, everyone! Abby and Rosita messing in the dressroom was hilarious!
Did somebody caught a segment early on when Grover calls one of the GMA guys 'Snuffleupagus?' I think I did. :super: Plus, I loved the clips they show of guests stars on SS then, now, and coming up.
I didn't hear any mention about the movie, but I'm still hoping for one! I made a personal Fragglish Solemn Oath to myself that I would never see the final 3 episodes of FR until I absolutely for-surally know there's the movie coming out! :dreamy:
Now that you mentioned it, I was in a puppet exercise with Steve Whitmire some years back at the center! The track is a perfect practice lip-sync that was used for the workshop. And my Mom became proud of my potential that fateful day...:)
Okay, here's was my day, my first time, in DragonCon:
^^^^^
It all started early in the morning. In my guise of Dipper Pines, I was more than ready for this big day. It was a lovely morning ride in the car, heading to the Kingslington area of Metro Atlanta.
I then waited at a closed...
Can I tell you the funny parts of a panel meeting I caught on Sat., Frackleman? Everyone remembers funny parts!
Anyway, I just finished my journal entry. I'll tell about my experience tomorrow. One question, though, since this was my first time EVER in DragonCon, should I tell about...
I'll be writing my article on here soon! Almost finished journaling down, so once that's that, I'll describe my experience on here. Don't touch that dial, folks! :news:
Hey Slackbot! I saw that same SkekSis costume, too! (the Chamberlain, I presume? :scary:) Aw! We've should've taken pictures of each other! It was great meeting you at DragonCon! :sigh:
I'm sure they won't terribly be, Canacegirl. I too got to see the panels yesterday, and they told us how they are surprised that fandom for Muppets go as far as into countries that 'not yet existed'! Kathy Mullen can still remember her No Strings trip around Indonesia when one girl there...
You are telling the truth, AndyWan! I finally had a great day! :excited::excited::excited: The lines were long, but the wait was worth it! Slackbot, I got to meet up with you in line to the panels! I told I was in a costume of Dipper Pines.
So overwhelming...good thing me and my peeps left...
