One of the problems with MT was the lack of promotion. Brian Henson has commented that ABC did not promote the show and despite assurances that they would pitch it to adults, it was mostly viewed by kids. Parents would turn it on to babysit the kids, but it wasn't a show designed for kids...
What an individual performer does with their fan mail is, of course, up to them. Some trash it. Some hire a service to answer it. Some read it. Some send a form letter response. Some answer the letters individually.
JHC does get the fan mail to the performers. A number of people have...
That's Christmas Eve on Sesame Street. Don't know if it is still available, but I have it on VHS and if it isn't in stores it can probably be found on eBay or rented from a video store.
The Bert and Ernie gift of the magi story is in it. Big Bird waits on the roof to see Santa. A bunch of...
IMDB is far from flawless. A lot of their information comes from fans emailing them-- or at least some of it does. I suspect this is simply a case of misinformation. There were any number of rumors of characters being retired after Jim's death.
Rowlf was in fine voice at the Live Muppet...
Thanks! Glad you like them and I appreciate you taking the time to look. When I get a new Muppet-y one done, I add it to my lame little web site and post something here.
bluedreamer-- You're welcome! :)
Welcome (back) DarthGonzo! And welcome to everyone else, too (bluedreamer, Cantus Rock and any other new members lurking around here). Please jump right in and make yourselves at home here.
Now that's funny!
Still, while I'm all for evolution (it seems perfectly clear that humans evolved from monkeys and some of us are still living off scum at the bottom of the swamp) I'm not ready to admit Big Bird is related to Barney, even if it a connection seperated by a few hundred...
But when we order Floyd from EB, aren't some of us going to get variant Floyd, there by giving us two variant Floyds and no regular Floyd?
I don't think EB is seperating out regular Floyd from Varian Floyd-- they have the same skew and all.
As I understand it-- and I think Scott has a very good point about press releases and headaches-- PBS gets all first run episodes of SST and probably has dibs on reruns until the next season begins airing. Noggin has dibs on all other broadcasts-- 123 Sesame, Sesame Unpaved, Play with Me (I...
The mini line is still entirely hypothetical. Sure, Ken has made some posts and shared his thoughts on how he'd like to do a mini line if Palisades decides to go that way, but there has been no announcement. Just a point of order as people are talking about the regular line, mega line...
Well, say what you like, but I'm willing to wait a bit longer for Janice. Ken's had good reasons for delays in the past (Mutant Beaker vs. Beaker Beaker) and he says there is a good reason now. That's good enough for me.
Now, will Malibu Janice and Beach House come with Malibu Floyd or...
Good ol' Snuffy is alive and well on Sesame Street. He visits Bird often and they've had some pretty entertaining rounds of 'Game Show' recently.
Adults can see him now. The wise folks at SST were concerned children were getting the wrong message when Big Bird told the adults about his...
Sad news. At least it sounds like he went peacefully. A very talented individual who will be missed.
While I'm sure Sesame Workshop will remember him in their own way, I don't think it would be appropriate to do something on the show. The kids watching today would not know him and would...
A Kermit meaning there are a number of Kermits. There's the poseable doll Kermit used for still photography that was in the museum last year. There are puppet Kermits. Think about it-- Kermit was in the museum next to Piggy, he was in the MTI display, and he was on stage all at the same time...
I was just coming back to add the Henson licensing folks to what we need in this panel. :) Someone needs to answer the question 'what are some of the most bizarre product pitches you've had?'
I'd like Pepe, Clifford, or Gonzo to emcee.
More photo ops is something everyone wants. It's...
As best as I can recall from junior high, if you are beyond weird, you are strange. In those days, the ratings went from normal to weird to strange. With off the scale being reserved for pesky little brothers. :p
I picked my name because I quilt Muppets (check out the link in my sig if...
