Oh, and a warning: Babelfish.com isn't the best bet for accurate translation. It works for certain words and phrases, but as far as slang or colloquialisms go - stay away! Trust me, I've had enough trouble with that darn thing. I know a bunch of languages in some shape or form (English - duh...
No prob...glad I could be of service...
I used to speak French fluently, but sadly, it has waned in recent years (I can still go over and conduct business, prat around, and have fun - but my casual lingo has waved me bye-bye). Maintenant, Je connait un peu de Français - but enough...LOL! BTW...
Hmm.....it might be dialectal, and there are differences at times and little nuances here and there...but then again, could it have been a different translation? There are a lot of words (casual) that fulfill that objective. I've watched a similar sort of show, but it was regarding The Louvre in...
GO in French? It's "Allez!" ("Let's go!" - "Allons-y!")
in contrast
COME in French is "Retournez!" (i think - from the verb "to come" - retourner)
(Dunno about "come," French is slipping..."go" is indeed "allez" tho - command form)

Dunno...both Friends and Frasier had good time-slots programming wise....crucial time-slots, and as in the prior post, I don't think it would be wise to bump the Muppets into a Friends/Frasier time-slot, as was said...they need time to settle in before going for the gusto like that, although I...
Hiya everyone from an astounded Adam...
I received this today from the Jim Henson Company with regards to my audition submission (two VHS copies, resumé and cover letter):
Dear Adam:
Thank you for your interest in the Jim Henson Company.
Unfortunately, we regret that we cannot accept...
True...it makes you think with the motion whether or not these people have developed a third hand...in one sense, they do have that third hand (thank-you's to those assistants!), but man...is that teamwork SMASHING! I'm in awe watching it - and probably still will be for a long time!

Hey all!
I was just kinda wondering something...
Seeing as Mokey Fraggle was a pantomime puppet ("live-hand" puppet), and that Kathy did her head and left (right?) hand, I just found it quite amazing that she could create all of this elaborate choreography (e.g. for "Ragtime Queen" and the...
Hey all!
Just thought I'd follow along here and post:
My pictures are not too great - I'm not really photogenic (LOL), but anyway, here goes with the photos: http://f2.pg.photos.yahoo.com/adamharwood
[If ya click 'em they'll go normal size, by the way - odd formatting]

Great thoughts, Scraps...wouldn't mind that myself!
Few problems though:
Well, firstly, it would be shaky as to whether or not the Jim Henson Company would be all for the project. It [Fraggle] in their mind, would have to be able to be conceivable to last long enough to generate a profit...
Yeah, I hope Kev's not too poorly as well. When our conversations on AIM kinda dropped off it got me wondering, and I just got turned on to this thread. If you could, e-mail me as well please (CC the message to Matt (jediX) or something if it's just a generic message). I would very much like to...
I thought I'd add my list of Muppet voices, so here goes:
Fraggle Rock
Travelling Matt Fraggle
Wembley Fraggle
Cantus the Minstrel
Murray the Minstrel
Brio the Minstrel
Pa Gorg
Gobo Fraggle (singing)
Red Fraggle (scary, huh?)
Beige Cave Fraggle
Storyteller Fraggle
The Muppet Show...
I completely agree with you BabyBean, there IS something in Sesame that keeps us going. I too know the ways of depression, and I like to use one of Caroll Spinney's quotes as an upper and that does a right-good job of cheering me up it does: "Believe that [you] can do something, and [you] will."...
Hehe, yeah...but they were drinking Whoopie Water like it was going out of style back then - and look at Felix! ("One for you, one for me!") Just goes to show you that it needn't be alcohol for a Fraggle addiction. Hmm, I wonder if Nico-water is anything like Whoopie Water (LOL!)...only they...
That is such an amazing banner!
Congrats to Jamie for the sweet design - I'm drooling :excited:
And also, I really like the Wembley animation, and the Red one as well...well heck - I like 'em all - I can't say "great job and thanks" enough, you guys!
>Adam
I would just like to take a moment and express my fondness for the ground-breaking show that was Fraggle Rock. Exactly 21 years ago to the day - January 10th, 1983 - the world (or at least then the CBC and HBO) came to know of the likes of Gobo, Mokey, Wembley, Boober, Red, and the entire gang...
Guitar Update
Hey all, just wanted to say that I have finished transcribing my own version of "Why (Do Caterpillars Crawl)" and I tried to post the tablature here, but the formatting got removed by the server for some reason. Either way, with any luck, it should either be up as a file link or...
Hello everyone!
After taking a short hiatus from posting, I'm back, and I have a quick question for everybody else on MC. I am aware that guitar tablature and chords exist for the Fraggle Rock theme song (short version), but are there any sites up (or does anyone want to post) with tablature...
Carol, Jerry, Kathy, Steve, and Terry (Read on...)
Man, this is a tough question!
Hmm, well as a few of you have already said, I would concur that to me, Jim is by far the most influential to me, but I think that - outside of Jim - I'd probably have to say:
Caroll Spinney (For a...
